A really good program to use is 'Cool Edit 2000' that can be trialed from download.com and cracked, wahey! This has a timer record setting so you can set it do do say 3hrs from 2:50 - 5:50.

This can take a line-in input or anything off of the windows mixer so you can record from Radio 1 Online to.

I like dalet
I used it when i was at radio shetland... its a bit wierd to start off with if you are used to Cool Edit, but once you have used it - Cool Edit seems crap.

you cant - its bloody expensive and designed for radio stations on big computer systems, not stand alone pcs - well not the version I used it wasnt.

Yeah at Radio Shetland on Work Expirence they did all their editing at there desk in the office on their computers, put it into the dalet pool and then when on air they had 1 fader open for dalet - all the audio cued up int the order they wanted to play it and pressed the start button below the fader when they wanted to play the next piece of audio. Peace of piss.

well might as well plug it -

RockFM's output is all on dalet as is the rest of emap big city (aire, key 103, city, hallam etc) just have 4 faders for 4 seperate dalet channels. it allows news cuts as well to be easily accessed.
