Alright, I know I'm the biggest Only Fools fan around here... but then I do border on the obsessive as far as it's concerned, so that's not too difficult a status for me to attain. Will anyone be watching this (BBC One, 21.00, Sunday)? I will be, albeit slightly worried. However, listening to John Sullivan give a rare interview on Simon Mayo's show this afternoon showed how much passion he puts into his work, I really hope it's good. It has the potential to be.

Having seen the trailers, I'm not holding out much hope, but I wasn't really into OFAH towards the end - I'm not the biggest fan.

I haven't seen the trailers to be fair.

Thing is I'm not sure if I'm being blinkered when I say I liked the last three episodes (after they became millionaires). I agree they weren't as funny as the others, but they still had some gems in them and I know people say they should have stopped after they got the money, but really, I think there were still some loose ends to tie up, which they did after the 1996 trilogy.

Hmm, maybe I've had my eyes closed but this is the first time i've heard anything about this, sounds interesting though. So I take it it's just a one off?
Lets hope it's better than that 'Green Green Grass' spin off.

I refuse to watch the Green Green Grass because I've heard so many bad reviews. Sullivan was saying on Simon Mayo's show that he'd like to do more.

As worried as I was, I really liked that. Trigger didn't really work for me, but most of the acting was pretty solid I thought and I would be quite happy to see more of them. It was interesting to see how some of the backstory panned out and how they explained one or two things, like the beano to Margate where the photo was taken with Rodney's dad in that was seen in the very last episode.

I'm going to watch it on the iPlayer. Twitter confused me though. While the show was on, everyone was saying it was awful and crap. When the show had finished, everyone was saying it was great!

I think a lot of people expected it be a laugh-a-minute comedy like Only Fools & Horses.

I watched it with an open mind and really enjoyed it. I guess if you're not a massive fan of the original series, you wouldn't have liked it, or got a lot of the references.


As for The Green Green Grass, the only 'funny' thing in that show is the fact Boycie bought a farm,and he purchased a Bull which turned out to be gay. Other than that, it's absolutley dire.

I agree with what you said about Trigger as well, he just seemed like a bad imitation and didn't really have any reason to be there, but i guess they had to put him in somewhere.

If you haven't seen 'The Frogs legacy', i guess a good 70% of it wouldn't have made much sense, as alot of what we knew about Freddy the Frog came from that episode, if not all.

I expected Del's mum to be a bit more 'tarty', but i thought Phil Daniels as Grandad was a piece of casting genius, in both looks and acting.

I had to explain that to my Dad, even though he has seen The Frogs Legacy I don't think that one has been repeated for quite a while though so he probably would have forgot about it, although I remember that reveal quite clearly.

The first questions about Rodney's fatherhood were raised in Thicker Than Water, when Reg made an appearance, but that was because he altered the blood types to make Del and Rodney different from each other, not realising that two brothers of the same parenthood can have different blood types. The Frog's Legacy (which is one of my favourite episodes) raised the question properly, but it was not definitively answered - or even addressed again - until the very last episode (Sleepless in Peckham). That's why I'm glad they did the last three episodes (as well as the fact that I thought they were still very funny), because they tied up loose ends that hadn't been tied up before.

I thought it was pretty good. It's sad that they aren't proper brothers but it doesn't really matter i guess. Took me ten mins to figure out where i'd see Joany from before. She was Joanna from The Upper Hand which is what i used to watch when i was younger. I agree with the good choice of casting for Grandad!

That was has been hinted at a couple of times in Only Fools - not least due to the fact that they look so different - and confirmed in the very last episode. It doesn't matter anyway, I'm sure people with half brothers and sisters can feel just as close as full siblings - particularly when they live as closely as those two did.

Then someone else said ''With your prices i can't blame her!!''. You can tell I don't watch it very much. Then they brought this girl back to the flat, only to find that she was pregnant. Someone was on the phone, and they said '' Oh hold on, something big's just arrived''. Made me laugh on a wet December day
