Why is it every time I hear the words Katie and Price I always think of 2 other words...wizards & sleeve ?
As for today, well, it did nothing to change my opinion of her. I still think she's a vile, pathetic, attention seeking little cow who needs putting down.
Good on you

Why is this tart famous? And why do people fawn over her? Why are so many people fascinated by her life? It's a soap opera - the whole thing is a soap opera. I don't understand why people like soap operas, but they do so no wonder they are obsessed with a real life soap opera. * soap operas.

I generally feel that it's alright to do what you want as long as you aint hurting anyone - I'm sure Peter and Alex and all the other monkeys that run about after her get paid plenty from whatever contracts they have in place so I don't really give a shit about them. In the same way I had a modicum of respect for Jade Goody - this Price tart has made a fortune outta stupid people buying her meaningless tat so fair play to her, that's an achievement at least and it's money in the bank.

However - there are now kids involved though. Why isn't she getting them the * out of the media spotlight and giving them some sorta fair start in life? She'd say that she is gonna milk the cash cow as much as she can so she can provide them with the best start possible, but surely she has enough money now? Surely she should start trying to be a real person and teach them some decent values instead of whoring herself all over the shop AND getting married in Las Vegas to someone who just so happened to win Celeb Big Bro the week before? And did I hear yesterday that he wants to divorce her now? *cues music for the end of Eastenders*

Wot's the chances she'd have got him tae * if he'd lost / come across as a tit on CBB?

boboff wrote:What we read about her is generally untrue.

It might be untrue, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was happy for it to be printed - it just keeps the epic storyline going. And I don't read anything about her. I just end up absorbing it without having any other choice. She is yet another example of why the newspaper industry continues to exist and a perfect example of why it should be banned. Or rebranded.

boboff wrote:She wants to change.

* the * off then, surely?

I've never been a celeb, but I don't get the impression its that hard to just not get involved in the media spotlight. She loves it, she encourages it and she makes a fortune from it.

boboff wrote:I can't see what all the fuss is about.

Tits probably. This sorta thing always ends up being about tits.

Munki Bhoy wrote:Turned it off as they brought her into the studio and turned it back on at half 9. I've given that bint enough chances to prove she's "not as bad as the media makes out". She controls the media for her own needs. I couldn't give a rats ass if she's married, split up, dyed her hair, pregnant, taking a shit, naked, fully clothed, missing, or dead. She's Princess Diana for the 21st century without the good of charity work to at least make her worth something in this life.

Well said.

Well good quoting aside.

Aled did do sooooooo well in that interview, he really is a star in the making.

Tabloid's will not give us a steer on our opinion if we don't read them.

I like Foots, love Yuds.

I admit he's not Parky or Paxman, but Chris has given some ratehr entertaining interviews on the show, admittedly the interviews with male guests are better than the femal guest ones, most of the time, but half the time that's soemthing to do with the guest.

What I meant by this was, Chris' usual standard of Interview is good. He normally stays in control and doesn't shy away from asking controversial questions.

Yesterday morning however I thought he wasn't in control of the interview and Katie tended call the question 'boring' if she didn't want to answer it. I just though he should have challenge her a bit more.
The rest of the team kept too quiet as well. (Apart from Aled who actually did try and push for answers)

Hope this makes more sense.

Yudster wrote: I think the crux of what she's "done wrong" is to assume that the working-class-girl-made-good persona which was so media friendly and popular would retain its popularity when the initial impact wore off for her and she lost any sense of gratitude and replaced it with an apparent expectation of entitlement - entitlement to popularity that is. Everyone loves an underdog made good, but when the pretty, happy, smiling, cheeky, joking top-heavy model turns into a grasping, fame obsessed, surgery-addicted, hard-faced perma-tanned virago with badly painted eyebrows, whose life's work is keeping the media spotlight on her, yet complains when it actually notices what she is doing, people are going to get bored and then annoyed. Its not rocket science m'dear.

Yuds = right, again.

I haven't listened to it yet and to be honest i'm not sure if i'm going to. I can't stand her and the way she makes her life so public with all the cameras. Who the hell cares 'what she did next' - It's the kids i feel sorry for.
