 I liked that as well, Chris or Dave follow up with "when was the last time you'd heard of Lisa Riley" or words to that effect :)

Unfortunately there's a slight delay in getting this show up in the archive I'm afraid. The wireless router that my mate kindly donated to me isn't compatible with Windows 7, which means I've now got to go out & spend a minimum of £40 on a wireless router, bugger :x

I'll get it up as soon as I can.

How can a router not be compatible with a particular OS? I'd check before buying a new one.

When I installed it there was only Windows 95-Windows XP as the OS options, I clicked XP & it installed. However although the signal strength was excellent this forum here wouldn't load at all & when it did it was all over the place, in both IE & Firefox. I looked on the internet via the PC & although they have done download-able drivers (?) for Vista, they haven't yet for Windows 7.

It's a bit knackered anyway, the ariel is bare (the rubber cover is missing) & it's got a few lumps out of the plastic, I prbably will be better off buying a new one.

Ok, so not a router, but a wireless adapter. The Vista drivers might work as Windows 7 is essentially just Vista with a few settings tweaked.

Ah ok, I may try that although as it's only a b/g wireless standard, perhaps it's best to just update the thing anyway?

Wireless G is enough for most people - wireless N is currently only really needed if you're going to be transferring large files over the home network (in which case a £15 flash drive is cheaper, quicker and easier), or if you happen to be in Virgin Media's next trial area (in which case it still won't be fast enough).

Ah ok, what do you mean by big files? The shows I'm editing are between 75MB - 150MB each so would I need Wireless N?

I meant in the GB range, and where time is an important factor, like with a media server. I fully expect that wireless G will suffice for you.

Apologies Yuds. We'll take this discussion, outside (any way we could get the wireless broadband nonsense moved out of this thread Console?)

I wonder if they'll call her up on Monday or if she calls up/texts in on Monday?

It was a very, very emotional show... A special one... When she nearly started crying during her last sports news round up I almost had a lump in my throat.
Good luck to her though, hope she keeps in contact with the show aswell!

i thought it was quite funny the way Dom said something along the lines of "Life goes on" at the end whilst going into the weather - it didn't feel like he was trying to take the spotlight off her but it did distract everyone while she composed herself.

 That bit was great, he knew he had to do something to get her to compose herself so threw that line out, see it's reason like that as to why I like Dom & can't really fathom out why one or two dislike him :)

Why is Rachel still on anyway, she rolls in at about 9am, what does she do, Aled produces now, she just says hello a few comments and its 10 o'clock whats the point.

As for Carrie, thank god she has gone, I look forward to here on local radio maybe York or my area Radio Leeds next year doing the sport now she be living in North Yorks, Tina seems a better prospect.

Rachel is the Day Producer at the moment, she's doing exactly what Aled used to do, which means she gets in after the show has started.

Can you explain why you think Tina to be a better prospect than Carrie?

Just popped back today to say goodbye to Carrie and it would appear that I have a few allies on here with regards to Her and Rachel.

It was time for Carrie to go,she served no purpose to the show.

As for Rachel well Im pleased She only comes on after 9am as I only listen between 6.30 and 7.30 so I dont have to listen to her going on about her favourite subject namely her!!!

Anyway nice to know I have been missed.

I apologise,I forgot the fact that she did a 30 second bulletin every half hour!
What was I thinking?

You sound a little bitter, have you had a bad morning?
