Hi,

Chris has mentioned a few times, as well as this morning, he has an app for his iPhone that lets him listen to not only live radio but also iPlayer listen again and the Pod casts.

Does anyone know what the name of the app is?

cheers
ben.

Didnt hear this morning but there is no iPhone app currently for the iPlayer.

The BBC announced yesterday they are going to offer app but it will be for news/sport - along the lines of Sky News have already. (More info -http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8519783.stm)

If you have an iPhone/iPod Touch, if you go to iPlayer web site it goes to a mobile version of the site where you can "listen again".

For podcasts, you can download them via iTunes store on the phone/ipod touch (thats if you dont download them on your computer and sync it up etc).

As far as I know there isnt an app to stream the podcasts but I may be wrong. I know there is an app for Diggnation (video podcast) that allows you to stream latest episodes so maybe some1 has done one for BBC podcasts??

Thanks, I use this website all the time for my own use of the iPlayer.

But yeah, he did mention it this morn with the feature of listening to the radio+listen again+Pod casts --all of which I could do with various iPhone apps but just wondered which one he uses as it sounds better than the one I use.

I was just going to say it was TuneIn Radio.

Listening to the bit in the show now when they are talking about it.

I thought it may have been ooTunes which does a similar sort of thing - but doesnt have the Chris Moyles podcasts

there's an iphone friendly version of the iplayer, when you connect via Safari you get redirected to it only works in UK, the iphone app chris was talking about where you can record and listen to podcasts etc is called "tunein radio" its pretty neat. The Sleeping app is called sleep cycle also good, but you have to keep your phone on charge.

I have downloaded the TuneIn app.

It works ok, but what the downfall is that you cant jump to anywhere in the timeline. Say im listing and im 30mins i need to use the phone when i jump back to the app i have to start from the start, to me this is a big issue, being able jump to a section in the timeline is massive plus, or if the app remembered my last location and load it from there.

Anybody know of an app that can do this?

Thanks, Aidan

Just a lil note, with iphone OS4 you can now run Tunein Radio in the background and SMS, surf web in Safari use other apps etc... if a call comes in it will pause the stream your listing to.
