Did anyone find Rachael's appearence this morning early-on a godsend? Having grown attached to her in recent years, I have mourned ever since her disappearence and loved every second today.

They used to do that with Rhys quite a lot on the afternoon usually if they asked him a question he didn't want to answer or if the topic was getting a bit dodgy he'd shout it "time for a record" quite often, although Chris & Dave just ignored him most the time.

I like Rachel, I switch off at 8:30 so I rarely hear her now and I do miss her. It would be great if she show produces 1/2 times a week.

The "Time for a record/the news" I think is now more of a funny thing than anything else as she always says it, she even shouted it up Kilamanjaro when on live to Vernon

i turned on at half 8 yesterday and thought. Rachael's show producing. But then aled did the "coming up today on radio 1" which i found confusing as the show producer does that.

It's just nice to have a change, if you swapped to lates again and Rach was on earlys, she would get on my tits after a couple of weeks!

I wouldent say i dislike either of them, they both bring there own element to the show. In Aleds favour though, whether intentional or not but the show just seems a bit more risque when Rachel is off. Of course for the listener this is great because its Chris at his best and most creative and seems to bring much more quirky discussions but sometimes you hear stuff and wonder will they get pulled up on that later! Of course I could be reading things wrong but its just my 2 cents.This morings ramble with Aled about the playlist was great radio in fairness.

If its any consolation Aled I enjoy hearing you as I drive to work between 6.30-7.30,the less I hear of Rachel the better.

if you find it more quirky and it's like chris is more over the top. i'd say it is more to do with aled. i find rachael is herself and produces it her way. whereas i think aled runs it like greyed did. only pulling chris in just before he crossed the line.

I do like Rachel but do prefer Aled as the main producer, like you say he reminds me a bit of Will, producing wise, whereas Rachel reminds me more of Rhys, producing wise.
