I was originally going to post this in 'Annoying', but I guessed that it might warrant its own thread. I'm wondering what people here make of the reported future cuts at the BBC: http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/media/article7041944.ece
BBC Online has provided a summary of the cuts as well: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8538530.stm
From the comments I've read so far in various places, a lot of people (the licence fee complainers especially) don't seem to care or are happy about it, but I find it rather depressing.
It seems as though there will be little left for the demographic I'll be in (late 20s-30s) by the time this happens, especially in radio. And the teens have been even more shunted. I'd also hate for anything to happen to the Radio Times!
But then I've always been a fairly loyal consumer of the BBC and have never had an issue with the licence fee... maybe others feel differently?
