This is untrue. Tina and Tulip are swapping roles for the two weeks Moyles is on holiday. Ok, so my source was unofficialmills but it was Jono, who has contacts within the BBC. Who am I going to listen to? Also they would've made a bigger deal about it on the show.

Interesting, I take it then that Tina doesn't fall under the "all on holiday togehter" rule yet then? I know on the Afternoon Show they all took random times off but in the mornings they used to all take their holidays off at the same time.

I thought that would probably be the reason as well. There's an Afternoon Show from Monday 11th September 2000 (not 2001 before anyone asks if that's a typo) where Chris & Dave have returned from their two week holiday & they goad Melinda who had still been on air for the last two weeks as Richard Blackwood's ( ) BA, Rhys however was still on holiday when Chris & Dave had returned. Now they seem to all go on holiday together.

She's doing her first Newsbeat at 12.45pm today (the first time she'll have anchored on Radio 1) but it looks likely it'll be when Moyles is off that Tulip will join the breakfast show (6th April is the swap) and Tina will do the main Newsbeat stuff. It's significant because it's the first time she's gone from sports presenter to the main news on Radio 1 but I don't think it'll impact her Moyles show work.

As I said in the original Tina thread, this is quite a good move, having a sport reader who is experienced with "proper" news. Expect Tina to do both news and sport on those occasions when Dom isn't available rather than dragging Tulip in early and finding somebody to cover lunch and drive.

Luckily I'm off from Good Friday until the 12th April so I miss out on quite a bit of Mills (hurrah), by the way are they on on Good Friday or not, just that the last time I heard them on on an Good Friday was bacj in 2001!

He said on Monday he wasnt in on Good Friday as he and Dave had it in their contracts not to work any Bank Holidays - however I dont think cover has been sorted yet for that day.
