I'm undecided on who I will vote for yet. I don't know whether I should choose Labour as a tactical vote to keep the * Tories out, or whether I should choose Lib Dem. If I was voting with whose policies I agree with most, I think it would be Green, but that is a wasted vote - but then again, so might the Lib Dems be.

I'm in two minds, I don't want taxes to go higher because I will soon have a family to support with little money as it is but I also don't want cut backs on public services. Can't stand David Cameron though so it might have to be Labour.

I think either way taxes will go up as the country has a huge debt.

Either national insurance (job tax as they are calling it) or VAT will be put up which will tax everyone

I think a 'none/don't vote' type option was needed - that's not the same as 'other', strictly speaking. I have no idea if I'll vote - I didn't last time. I'm painfully aware that women fought and died for my right to vote, but when you think all the parties are rubbish, it's difficult to know what to do.

I didn't vote last time, but I now think that not voting is pointless!

I would rather vote for the best of a bad bunch than not vote at all.

In all conscience, I couldn't simply ignore an election. But these days there is precious little motivation to get up and vote. Did anyone see Newsnight last night? They were discussing - as far as normal people CAN discuss anything with career politicians who have no intention of telling anyone anything true or useful - the issue of how whichever way we vote, whatever the result, our lives will be exactly the same. There is no REASON to vote because there will be absolutely no difference at all to any of us whether Labour or the Tories get in.

Surely that's the real reason for increased voter apathy - we all know that there won't be any difference to us whether Cameron or Brown is at Number 10.

Yet as much as lots of people seem to share that opinion, Yudster, no one seems to want to give anyone else ago. The Lib Dems can't be any worse, so why won't people vote for them? Well, I can see why Tory voters wouldn't, but for disillusioned Labour voters, the Lib Dems would seem a reasonable option.

I would lump them squarely in with the "no different" brigade though. Its not about party affiliation, or traditional left/right policy making - its about the fact that our parliament is completely happy with the status quo it has. And given what a * gravy train it is, why would they?

Labour = Tories who knew that the conservatives would not stay in power for very much longer than 18 years.

Liberal Democrats = People who know they have no chance of power who actually went into Politics to make a difference.

My only hope is a hung Parliament where they will be forced to change the style of voting we have in this country, so that the level of national party support is refelcted in the number of Seats. OK it will mean a couple BNP and UKIP people in Parliament, but it will also mean that societies as a wholes views will in some way be reflected in Parliament.

Also MP's pay should be commercial, so that people could make a commerical decision to be a "professional" politician. Ban all expences pay them all £250k a year, give the PM £1million a year plus bonus based on growth and inflation targets.

Simplyfy everything, cut out beurocracy, Ban no win no fee solicitors, be possitive about the country and the people in it, shoot anyone who makes ignorant comments about immigration, bring back the cane, cull all social workers, make Health and Safety legislation sensible again, reward possitive behaviour and possitive contributions to society, accept making a profit and being an employer is what keeps a country going. Abolish the minimum wage, abolish inheritance tax, bring back grammar schools, make care of the elederly free, make all NHS care means tested, only buy weapons for the Army made in this country, make family allowance means tested, let everyone earn £10,000 a year without paying any tax.

OK, well off the top of my head, you have The Green Party, UKIP, the BNP (hateful as those two are, they still have people standing), Respect, then there are regionals like the SNP, Plaid Cymru, Sinn Feinn.. and who can forget The Monster Raving Looney Party (I don't suppose they have anyone standing, but if they do..)

I've gone for Labour because in all honesty they haven't caused me any hardship over the last 12-14 years. I did consider the Lib Dems, however when asked what he would do if there was a hung parliment, Nick Clegg said he would side with the Tories! Now considering that I assume most Lib Dem voters vote them because they haven't been impressed with Labour & hate the Tories I thought that was a bit of a kick in the teeth for Lib Dem voters myself.

To be fair none of them are that desirable, Gordon Brown just looks tired, to be fair he's ended up with a lot of shite going wrong that Blair introduced during his reign. David "just call me Dave" Cameron is a complete smug wanker & I just want to lamp him one everytime I see the tosser, oh hang on there's a camera near by so he's posing for another picture again. Nick Clegg, don't really know much about him in all honesty, I know more about Vince Cable than I do Clegg.

If Labour don't get a fourth term then I hope for a hung parliment, as mentioned above it may shake them all up somewhat. If the Tories get in, then we've got four years of an odious prick running the country, oh joy!

I always vote Lib Dem. Some of the greatest social reforms in English history were thanks to the Liberal party. Once upon a time they were one of the two major players in English politics. Sadly thats all changed now and most people see the Lib Dems as a 'wasted vote'. I don't agree with the idea of a 'wasted vote' at all, you should vote for who you like!

The choice was easy for me, as Labour are complete morons, completely betrayed their roots. Labour MPs used to be working class heroes, now they just look like Tories. Speaking of Tories, I wouldn't think of voting for a right-leaning party which favours the rich. My dad is an incredibly anti-Thatcher man, he would never vote Conservative, so I guess that rubbed off on me

If I thought the Lib Dems had any chance of winning, I would vote but because they won't I don't see the point in voting at all.

This is exactly why the Lib Dems never get in, because not enough people vote for them.
