I know the thread title sounds dubious and somewhat pornographic, but haven't the handovers with Annie Mac been superb so far this week? There seems like genuine chemistry between Chris and her, which I am surprised about. I didn't think they would get on well at all, although I don't know why I thought that.

Not only is the 10-12:45 show better with Annie, but the handovers are far better than with Fearne. Fearne always sounds as if she wants to end it as soon as it has begun.

My only gripe is I wish Chris would stop doing the bloody leprechaun voice EVERY time he talks to Annie. "HELLO DERE! WHERES ME LUCKY CHARMS!" etc. etc.

Annie Mac is definitely a breath of fresh air and the handovers are very funny

Yeah, not only have I been enjoying the handover, but have then stayed listening to Annie's show, tis good shizzle. Cotton jus' gets binned off.

Another great handover this morning..... Annie's laugh is quite infectious....

I agree, Annie Mac is one of the few female radio presenters I can actually bare to listen to.
Inane chatter about shoes or other crap that female presenters like Fearne seem to think makes good radio makes just me switch over.

I don't understand why Fearne seems to want to get rid of Moyles so quickly during the handovers, does she not realise the second she switches Chris off, there's probably a few million listeners who do the same to her?
I'd put money on handover with Chris being the highest rated part of her show in terms of listing figures.

Agreed that MORNING just sounds awful when its done every day. You have prior to that the great show outro for 60 seconds and then its just spoiled with a high pitched MORNING from Fearne.

Ive actually thought the accent and the chat about the Irish tube driver were really good. His inner city Dublin granny accent is not far from reality at all...I assure you the rest of us don't talk like that (unless your from kerry)

Between the guy on CPC and the handovers with Annie, that 20 minutes are so have been top class sofar this week.

I was thinking the same! And I find myself listening to radio 1 after 10.00 am also!

I can't decide if this whole high pitched "MORNING!" thing is deliberate, and if so why does she think it's a good idea. I think perhaps she doesn't realise she does it EVERY single time. Chris is being very kind to her regarding not taking the p*** about it. She forces herself to do just about enough short of being rude to get rid of him though. Fair enough Chris flirts but come off it she's 28 for goodness sake, hasn't she enough personality and experience to handle it better than an irate teenager?

Enjoying Annie in the mornings though, makes one wonder why we have to tolerate drivel like Fearne Cotton on Radio 1.

Definitely. Fearne doesn't really play along with Moyles' act, she just acts like he's something she found on the sole of her shoe. I agree that Chris and Annie have a lot more chemistry.

How lifeless was today's handover? Sounds like they've had a big bust-up.
