Does anyone know when Chris' documentary of the Radio One Breakfast Show will be on. I remember ages ago him saying that it would be on at the end March, but were almost in May and it still hasn't been shown...

Chris mentioned this morning around 7am that he thinks it will be a week on Sunday (9th May) after TopGear but will publicise it next week

At first I thought ' Oh get over yerself yer ginger git' and I still do in a way, also, Evans would be very commited to Radio 2 nowadays but it's just a shame there has to be this animosity/rivalry, call it what you will.

The list also appears to miss out Noel Edmonds and Dave Lee Travis, so other than Tony Blackburn is there ANY point to this documentary? All the big important ones are missing by the looks of it.

I really hope the Chris Evans years (or rather months) aren't skipped over completely, but as soon as I heard this documentary would be happening I knew he wouldn't appear. It's a shame.

Do you reckon it has to be the breakfast rivalry thing, or is Evans just that determined to put those days behind him? Maybe I've missed something, but I've never heard him talk much about his days at R1 recently.

I may not bother with all the other shows, as they're mainly repeats from the Radio One Night in 1997 (30th anniversary), and I taped them all at the time! What a great show, it's easy to forget now how bad Chris used to be on the TV, he was ace, and really settled. Well done Big Man. The politics of Radio one I never knew about at the time, just remember Chris Evans being a pissed arogant twat at the time, and glad he was gone. I love Sara Cox......

It was very good. He managed to talk about the Chris Evans saga,and about Chris not being in the programme, without sounding bitchy or antagonistic at all, and also expressing his genuine admiration for what Evans did (and does). I also thought the Mike Smith section was well done - quite sweet, and a little sad and regretful but nice.

Did any of you see the Blood on the Carpet documentary about the Matthew Bannister years which was on directly afterwards? That was interesting.

Yeah, I saw that Blood on the Carpet thing years ago, but couldn't remember much about it - I found it interesting too, it showed Evans in a very bad light.

Just watched this on my lunch, what a show! Thought it'd be worth a view as a Moyles fan wasn't sure what to expect from it, but that really was amazing. The 80's stuff was a little over my head as I wasn't into Radio in them days, but once it broke into the 90's with ZB and SC, wow, the memories came flooding back. Chris was geat on the show, it was nice to see him involved in a subject he knows so much about, you could see the enthusiasm bubbling out of him. Good to see how the breakfast show has progressed ove the years into the award winning show we all know and love now. I really hope Chris keeps the gig for a few more years yet as he really has nwo made it his own. I know Chris will have loved puttign that together too, being such a radio 'annorack'! Great stuff.

And yes Bob, Sara Cox is great. I forget how young and attractive she was doing the show, I had a massif crush on 'er back in the day. All the Ibiza stuff they were showing, that was my time, I was there glowsticks in hand, loving it, trying to catch Sara between links. Brought so much back to the front of my mind. Ibiza in the 90's, you simply had to be there to understand. T'was ace.
