Video is a direct rip of the broadcast stream. It plays very well with MPC: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/, you can seek through the video. Should also play with VLC.
Video starts at around 37 minutes in to the recording.

Yup. You get to hear some behind the scenes talkback from the engineers. The sound also goes out during the One Big Weekend tix compo -- for about 7 minutes.

Many thanks for these uploads neilt0, I've been downloading them throughout the week instead of listening to the show on the iPlayer. As per usual, you've made up for the BBC shortcomings by uploading the streaming for them, I hope you make a claim for your fare share of the license fee.

No worries. I really don't know why they don't allow it to go on the iPlayer. Apparently they can't let anything not broadcast on the telly on to the iPlayer.

I can't sit and watch it live for 3.5 hours. Watching offline is better as I can skip through the songs when nothing is happening.

Yeah, big thanks once again to Neil - everytime they stream live, he steps up to the plate. Only annoying thing is that don't give this enough pre-promotion, so we can get Monday's.

By the way Neil, where is the "Whore this" in your sig from? It sounds funnier in my head that what it probably is, but I'd like to know all the same.

Dom had replaced his phone, but neglected to copy the contacts from his old phone to the new one.

So, when getting text messages from friends, he had no idea who they were, they'd just appear as numbers.

I think it was Trevor Nelson who texted Dom, and his reply was supposed to be "Who's this?", but instead...

It made me laugh at the time! Maybe it's time for a new sig...

I'd just like to thank neilt0 for uploading these videos. To take out your personal time to record the whole stream is an amazing and respectful thing to do for people like me who couldn't watch the stream, for reasons such as their workplaces still having Flash 7 and Internet Explorer 6 because if we update them our programmes won't work with them >.< Annoys the heck out of me. Anyway, enough about me, once again thanks a lot for uploading these videos. :)

Recoded or remuxed? I imagine the original stream was h.264, so you could remux the stream and not lose quality or increase filesize.

No worries. I wanted to record the streams and share them because I'm a real fan; I love the show and I think Chris is a radio genius. Even though I had a "negative" post of mine read out on the radio this morning!! :? 8O

Sure. It's not that hard -- just start recording and off you go. Drop me a PM if they announce they are going live with cameras if you hear it when listening live -- I usually listen offline via iPlayer and miss the first day, as with the Bangor shows.

Going back to the 6-week stint of streaming last summer, all those shows are also available to download as MP4s - i've edited them to remove the music and news, improved the audio quality, and added a time-stamp. If anyone's interested, click on the Video Archive link in my signature.
