The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Should they do it permanently or just save it for special occasions?

I'm split on it. I like seeing what they get up to but I also think it takes away a bit of the magic. Plus I would never get any work done.

I think occasionally is ok, but Chris is rubbish on tv and it would turn into that if it was permanent

Like it or not the live streaming will be returning in the coming weeks, due to it's popularity Radio 1 are going to be making it more of a regular feature now and then.

Personally I don't mind it, it's interesting to see whats going on but it is distracting when your trying to get work done. Which is my own fault for having it on in the first place.

I don't often get the chance to watch it, but when I have done I've enjoyed it. Apparently when they were in Bangor the stream was contiunous even when they were playing a record - this was the only thing I thought could have been improved from when they did the trial last year, so if they've made a decision to do that, great. I initially thought that if they were streaming and I couldn't watch it I would feel as though I was missing out, but that didn't happen because they didn't change the show at all, they didn't play it for the visuals, so that works for me too.

I loved the live streaming in Bangor. It was good that they didnt stop the cameras running each time they played a record, like I've known them to do on previous live streaming occasions back in the studio. I love seeing what happens behind the scenes. I'd be happy if it was going to happen regularly. I'd just have to get up ten minutes earlier or something as i do tend to get engrossed by it a bit instead of getting ready for work!

I think it should be on full time, would be great to see the interviews when guests are in, I would have loved if there were cameras rolling when Chris did his curry rant back in 2008 and also when he had his mini break down during the week, a lot of radio shows do live streaming by default here in states.

The handheld streaming camera is becoming a permanent fixture in the studio - not for the whole show but to bring out every now and then when needed.

Should NEVER become permanent... this is radio after all.

But for features I totally agree with.

And occasional weeks or days to cover special events is good too.

Plus its far to distracting for those who listen on computer, when trying to work :)

I think if it was permanent they'd run out of stuff to do and listening to Chris constantly having to mention it would get annoying. That said I love it when they occasionally switch the cameras on.

The only thing I don't like about the streaming is that when they play records, we get a place holder image.

They should just keep the stream going imo.

When they play a song they usually all go off to do other things, and Aled's usually just on his own. Maybe they put the image there because Chris often isn't in front of the microphone at those times.

This post is nearly 2 years old but hey, I have the curry rant on my ipod and it came up today on shuffle and they were filming that day.

Part of Chris' rant he said they were filming, then he laughed as Will took a shot of Aled shuffling away, curry in hand.

God knows where the footage is though.
