I can't say anything at the mo, but I believe you have no fears of that happening, well 85% sure.

Yay, someone else on here who likes her
I agree with your last part, for me in a sea of crap TV Doctor Who is definitely one of the best things on TV (along with Ashes To Ashes (except this ones ended), Qi and, ahem, Soccer Saturday

I used to like Doctor Who back in the old days, and while I will still watch it when I can, I just find it all very confusing these days. I don't think the 45 minute stand alone episode format suits the show. It used to be better when the story would develop over 4-5 shorter episodes, and it didn't try and cram too much into one episode. It was more about the sci-fi rather than about the action. Now-a-days the world is about to end, Doctor has a brain wave, points his sonic screwdriver at something and everything is saved. It's pretty much the same every week. It gets quite boring after a while.
I have to say Sidders, that if I ever watch any Who back I mostly choose the classic run over the current run (mainly Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker, Peter Davison or Colin Baker), mostly as the stories are developed more over a longer period. The two parters of the current series, on the whole, seem to structure fine. However with the shorter stories there are some that are just a bit too rushed. However I'm still enjoying the current run, I'd rather have more new Who than no new Who, although if you had asked me about 10 years ago I probably would have said "Doctor Who? What a load of crap"
