The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

So here's what I do.. I like to listen to the shows on the bus to college, but my phone doesn't have a radio and I prefer to listen to each show right from the start anyway, then I like listening to it on the way home. So I download all of the past weeks shows at the end of the week, put them on my phone and listen to each show a week after it was broadcast. I could download every show every night and then listen the next day, but that'd be a lot more tedious and having them talking about how great Friday is on a Monday probably isn't ideal. And they'd confuse me as to what day it actually is.

The being-a-week-behind thing doesn't really get annoying and nor does listening to the news and sport (if i can't be arsed with it, i just skip forward 4 minutes). The only thing that does annoy me is when they take well-timed weeks off during either christmas or my easter holidays, and then of course because i'm a week behind, i have a week of somebody else in the morning. Or bank holiday mondays, because the monday i listen to it, it isn't a bank holiday. So then i usually just listen to Scott Mills podcasts. But for the most part, it's all fine and it works well for me.

Does anybody else listen a week later? Can't be just me?

I listen between 1 day and a week later -- I don't like a lot of the music, so I skip some of that and the news and sport.

Cracking up to Moyles while on the train at 5:30pm is a regular occurrence. And I listened to the Thursday show today while making lunch. I managed to sync up the video of Hat-on Hatton with the radio show.

I re-listen to shows on iPlayer once the acxtual show has ended at 1000. So can sometimes be listening to a week old show. Given I listen at work, unfortunatly I cannot always give the show my undivided attention (people tend to come over to ask me questions with the most terrible timing), so like to re-listen to fill in the gaps of what I missed.

Otherwise you sound like you're from Yorkshire.

People in Yorkshire don't use the word 'the'.

'I'm going up town.'
'Do you want any of leftovers?'

That is a nice story. You should save that for dinner parties. :)

But to reply, I do listen to some bits of shows a day or two behind, particularly Friday's Golden Hour which I often listen to on Saturday or Sunday. But I've never downloaded whole shows apart from the old stuff in the archive, altho I have considered it for when they're on hols...

Most of the time, I don't be up early enough to listen to the whole show and only during nights I work that I get to listen to some of it when it starts on 6:30am and I finish work at 7am or 8am. I actually download the shows and keep them on my player if they were entertaining enough to listen to again. Heck I have shows all the way back from August 09 (when I started recording/downloading them. I listen to shows during my night-shift work and it passes the time just fine because believe me, the night would drag on if you didn't have anything to listen to like music, podcasts or shows.

I read a thread earlier about downloading shows, but I still can't find an actual link to download the show. I find it someone ironic that I'm in London for a little over three weeks now and it's harder for me to listen than when I'm back home in the States.

My comment was a joke from another thread in Ramble and had nothing to do with what was written in this thread at all. I wasn't having a dig at you anyways :)

I'd do what Andrew says and use the iPlayer downloader - seems to work for me these days
