Hi Phil
We broadcast down 'lines' that are installed a lot like ISDN lines. I don't know all the technical details but I believe it's 4. 2 are combined to make a high quality stereo line, with 2 as reserve. There is then two ways of hearing Fearne, one is to reverse one of the lines and have London output piped back to us or the other much easier / cheaper option is to listen to the radio. Genuinely. It creates a slight delay in the headphones but we're quite good at working with a slight delay.

Firstly, I'd just like to say it's really good to be able to directly talk with the producer of the show! Now, my question is this; during the broadcasts from the "Big Bangor House" (as you called it!) you were able to talk directly to Fearne in the studio in London at the beginning of her show. How is this done? I've always thought it can't be by internet, but I'm not sure whether it's done by satellite.
Thanks in advance,
Phil
