The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Why does Chris insist on talking about BB? When in his words 'most of the listeners dont like it' Chris its a show for the listeners.

And to say you dont care what the majority of your listeners think..... come on, who do you think you are?

I think this is a weird one. Personally I do hate Big Brother. I can't bear the whole idea of it and the result is real slime-eating lowest common denominator telly. BUT - I think hearing them talk about it on the radio is quite funny. Not always, and I have got bored with it from time to time, but on the whole I don't mind it. Which is strange, you'd think I would.

I can put up with them talking about it (especially when it's genuinely funny of course), as long as there isn't a massive over-use of annoying audioclips of the housemates. I can't stand that.

I'm not so keen on the Big Brother chat, but it's my prerogative to turn off or put up and listen and it's sill ten times better than the next best alternative (even when that alternative is now Chris Evans).

Reasons why Chris uses Big Brother as Material for the Show

Big Brother and Radio 1 have the same demographic

Given that Big Brother will get quite high viewing figures - a majority of the Radio 1 (not exclusively Moyles fans) listening audience will probably be watching Big Brother, whereas a lot of the fans who are mainly Moyles (not radio 1 fans) probably won't like the show.

If they cover Big Brother, they'll be likely to be offered the evicted housemates for interviews, which if you look at the rest of popular media (Other daily entertainment shows, Newspapers, Magazines etc.) you'll see is a pretty big winner.

Given that it's JUST kicked off, and they were given a pretty exclusive tour around the house, AND a majority of the team watch the opening show - it's likely that the show which needs new and current material, will use Big Brother now and again.

Chris (kind of) likes Big Brother.

They also get to send BB Aled into the evictee interviews to ask stupid questions and to say "Chris Moyles has been supporting you"

Aharhar. And you came up with that off the top of your head? Amazing.

Big Brother is alright. Good talking point, even if you don't watch it.

I'm too young to be a teenager. Anyway, there was this Basil Brush episode where they took part in a mock program called 'Big Bother'. That's where I got it from. Haven't seen that show in years.

Oh come on, Basil Brush is hardly the only show to have used that phrase.

Anyway, I always watch Big Brother. I've payed for the live stream season pass but don't really discuss it on other websites, just with friends and family. It's always interesting and exciting on the live stream. For the past two hours I've watched *SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT* Mario complete the impossible task, then all the housemates be lined up and say who they think is the mole, save Mario, watch him tell the others about what he had to do, Sunshine crying over how nobody is apologising to her because they all blamed her for being the mole, and John James argue (still, as I type) with Sunshine about how she doesn't need to be upset.

You certainly don't get all that on the highlights show. But I guess it is dependent on the target audience.

What is COPPA?
COPPA, or the Child Online Privacy and Protection Act of 1998, is a law in the United States requiring websites which can potentially collect information from minors under the age of 13 to have written parental consent or some other method of legal guardian acknowledgment, allowing the collection of personally identifiable information from a minor under the age of 13. If you are unsure if this applies to you as someone trying to register or to the website you are trying to register on, contact legal counsel for assistance. Please note that the phpBB Group cannot provide legal advice and is not a point of contact for legal concerns of any kind, except as outlined below.

From FAQ, though as this is a UK site I don't know if it's binding here.
