First half hour is my favourite. Its the only bit I get to hear live though, I tend to randomly catch up with other bits and pieces, but I rarely hear a whole show these days. Unfortunately.

It really is, the first half hour (or sometimes just over!) is pretty much always brilliant spontanious radio, I love it.

As I have to drive so far to work, I started starting work earlier, at 0700 (instead of the office standard 0900), but the problem I had with that was that i'd miss 10-15 mins of opening link whilst walkin from my car in carpark to office, making tea, login in to PC etc. So I started gettin up little earlier (still) so I can be at my desk for 0630 instead. Whole opening link undisturbed. Frikkin Ace.

That doesn't make me 'sad' though, yeah?! :wink:

I've actually met Chris n shook his hand. This fact is still causing slight issues in my trouser dept.... :wink:

Agreed! The first 30 mins are the best bits of the show......
I always set the alarm for 6:27am! That way I manage to catch Dom and Tina on Newsbeat before the Cheesy song kicks in! I love the Cheesy Song, but I think it was better when it was different lyrics for different days..... I now know every word to the cheesy song they use EVERY day now lol... "Good Morning to you Britain, it's time to shake a leg........"
Anyway, you just never know whats going to crop up in that first 30 mins! From Massive Badgers to working out how many pints you are allowed to drink, to Tina's new boyfriend, its complete randomness and its brilliant!
I try to avoid the closing track at 10, means Chris is about to finish work, and I still got another 8 hours to go

Its by far the best link, but they don't really backreference it that much - so instead of getting up at silly o'clock I like to listen again before lunch \o/

I always miss it cos I never get to sleep early enough and need the first hour of the show to round off my night's sleep, but I should probably iPlayer it more often.
