She took one year maternity leave, so if she does come back I assume it will be February 2011

I miss her too, other than Chris she was my favourite member of the team

Listening to the first half hour this morning - yes, I want Carrie back too. Tina is pleasant, reads the sport well, doesn't annoy me - she'd just a bit - well, bland I think is the word. They were trying to have a laugh with her this morning and she was trying to play along bless her, but it just didn't work, she just doesn't have any edge to her.

I don't dislike Tina but I think I can now firmly put myself in the "I hope Carrie comes back" camp. As long as there are no tents or caravans, I don't actually do camping.

Absolutely - I wouldn't blame her one bit if she decided to take an extended work break at this point.

I'm in the 'miss Carrie lots' camp, pitched next to yuds so the kids can play.... Dunno if she will, but as stated, we can only assume Feb at the earliest. I got the impression that between her and Tom money wasn't a major issue so maybe she will take extended motherdom. Only time will tell. Would be good to have her in as a guest in the meantime!

He already has - if he hadn't we'd have heard who the next Breakfast presenter was going to be by now.

I hope...........

i said in the other thread that i expect a pre record from scott on monday as i agree with johnny that chris will go out with a bang. maybe johnny could help us on how he left capital for example...

as for carrie. i hope she comes back. but it also depends on captain underpants. when he is back from afganistan???

for carrie too return. i think it will depend on tom and where he is in february.

I think Carrie is actually a sports reporter wheras tina is just a pretty girl who reads the sport off a piece of paper. It always really annoys me when Westwood does a football ground clue and Tina doesn't get it from that. I normally get them and I don't consider myself to be a sports expert in any way.

If I was to have anyone back it would be Will & Lizzie, but seeing as that's never going to happen then tough titties, Carrie's gone deal with ;)

In all seriousness I like Tina & I also like Carrie, Tina is a bit more reserved than Carrie & wish she'd speak up a bit more on occasions, on the flip times however there were times when I wished Carrie would quieten down a bit, so either or really.

From what I can remember (and bare in mind this was back in 1997) Chris literally took the piss and did a similar joke for the last few shows/weeks as I remember both Margarita Taylor (still at Capital if I recall correctly) & Neil Long (now on Radio Jackie as their Breakfast DJ) doing a similar handover.

It was Magarita's handover I remember best though, it went something like this:

*95.8 Capital FM Jingle*
Magarita: Where is Chris he should be here by now
*Number dialled on touch phone, followed by ringing*
Chris (on phone): Hello Radio 1 Chris Moyles speaking what song would you like to request
Margarita (pretending to be a bit cross): Moyles! Where are you? You supposed to be on air now!
Chris (on phone): Oh Boll...(phone goes dead)
*Chris' "FM Radio's Problem Child" jingle plays (you can hear this on one of the shows in the archive thread)*
Either a song follows or it cuts back to Chris
Chris (out of breath): Evening listners & welcome to another edition of the late bit...

Went something like that at least, sadly I didn't tape that one & I soon found out that he had gone as the "love songs" had returned :x (although thankfully Neil Long replaced that after a few weeks, although he move slot again soon after). Apart from the two shows I have (which are the first half only) & the few clips in the archive there is sadly sod all out there of Chris' time at Capital FM which is a shame as it was a great little show.

I just don't think that a grown woman in her mid/late twenties with a good job who still lives with her mum and thinks its ok to still be having adolescent squabbles with her 24 year old brother (who also still lives at home with mum) really fits in with the rest of the team..........

Its not about being grown up though is it?
