The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I want to hear more of her, i'm not sure if they are trying to make her a full time voice or not? What do we think? Or are they taking it slow because Tina was a recent addition to the team.

It's weird that she's taking over everything Aled has done this week yet the daily blog on the Moyles BBC Site which is updated by Mr Fincham does not include Sam's name - it's like they don't want to include her as part of the team.

What do we think? She's a refreshing voice - want to hear more please!

i thought matt was day producer why rachael was covering piers as esec producer. so what i found bewildering is why matt hasn't took on show producer in aleds absence.

matt has produced before by the way as he produced max on early breakfast when greg was off one time. so i don't know why matt hasn't given the chance.

I don't :D

"Play another record" and "Its time for the news" are a couple of reasons why i don't miss her.

Sam goes on the list with the likes of Producer Hannah (16th-20th April 2001 when Will was on holiday), Producer Mick Meadows (whenever Richard or Rhys was on holiday, ill, etc.) & several others who are temporary & so don't really get consider as being part of the full time team so don't really get a mention unfortunately.

The week when Will was on holiday for example Chris either played jingles and said Hannah's name over the bit where Will's name was or not play any jingles mentioning the teams name.

Going back to Afternoon's, when stand ins were more common as the team took holidays at random times (Chris & Dave were usually off together but Melinda, Rhys, Lizzie & Will took their holidays at random most of the time) the only full time team members were:

Producer Ben Cooper
Producer Richard Murdoch (who never spoke, I wonder if he's Scott's current Producer?)
Producer Rhys Hughes
Producer Will "Grey Head" Kinder
BA/Producer Rachel Jones
BA Simon "Melinda" Hollis
BA "Thin" Lizzie Buckingham
BA Aled Hayden Jones
Jon Culshaw (although he never got his own jingle)

Anyone else between that time was a fill in & either didn't speak much or weren't included on every link, Mick Meadows & Hannah seem to be the only two that ever got involved all the time in every link, the rest either took part at times or never spoke unless Chris made them.

I'm pretty sure that Scott's mute producer's name is Emlyn, although I cannot vouch for this as I don't listen to Scott.

I like Sam and I like it when they take the piss out of her accent. She definitely has potential to be a good full time member.

She was chatting this morning when they played Where Am I - I quite like her, she sounds like a bit of rough which might be what the team needs to counter-balance Tina.

Ah ok, I did wonder if it was him although do I recall correctly that Richard Murdoch moved on to Radio 2 or elsewhere?

Yeah I liked here as well this morning, she sounds like an "East End Bird" which is a plus in my opinion :)

Now you say that I do believe Mick Meadows did become Executive Producer for a while on the Afternoon Show, although the examples I have of him date back to 2000, where Rhys was off several times, the show in the archive thread from April 2000 is the oddest as not only is Mick Meadows the producer on that show but Comedy Dave is off sick so Melinda kind of steps up to replace him & seeing as it's Friday John Culshaw is heard more often as well, it's a bit of an odd show to hear with Dave missing.

Interesting so Piers has gone onto other things, Rachel will be rarely heard on air with Aled becoming the main producer & Sam being the day producer. I take back what I said then about Sam being one of the long list of "temporary team members".

Funny thing was when they mentioned that Aled as a potential replacement for Will as Producer on the Afternoon Show, Will laughed & Chris said "over my dead body", funny how things have changed

I like her and her accent ;), would be good if they put aled to the side for a while and let sam on the show full time and vice-versa.

Piers, i was lead to believe also got a promotion within the BBC,perhaps Station Manager(im not entirely sure)

Haha good memory Johnny,i also remember them days.

can someone enlighten me as too where razorsharpe gets his insider infomation from... the other topic clearly discussing rachael's promotion was only temp. and chris said she would be back in 3 or 6 months. (forgot which one. but defo said on air)

I didn't know about that either (although I don't know why I would), but if its right, I'm not surprised and very pleased for her.

So Rachel won't be coming back to be part of the on air team for the forseeable future:( aled is ok..but a bit thick most of z time..

Yet to decide about Sam..

oh for sure...

We're currently in a period of change which is why there's different people doing different roles for a while.

Piers is back at the end of this week as Exec. Rachel is then off for a couple of weeks. Currently I am Show Producer (not "main producer" - we're both equal in producing the show), Sam is Day Producer, Matt is Assistant Producer.

Remember on The Chris Moyles Show we're producers not presenters, but due to the nature of the show the team in the studio all appear on air.

Rachel is currently due to come back as Day Producer after her holidays.

So will Sam disappear when Rachel comes back?

I hope not, she seemed to add something different to the team (although that may just be me getting used to having more than 1 female voice on the show).

Can you not make an exception for him? Please?

I blame Matt Fincham for all of this.

I've gotta say, I like all the current producers (Rach, Al, Sam, Matt), wish we could hear more from Sam :) And also, would like to hear more from Piers Dude on air, always makes me laugh when he's in the studio and the team reference him :)

Al, would you just clear up what different role each of you have on the show, and indeed, the station. I'm quite fascinated with radioworld, but don't know the difference between day producers, show producers, execs, assistants, BA's etc etc etc.

Cheers :)
