Ah ok, I did wonder if it was him although do I recall correctly that Richard Murdoch moved on to Radio 2 or elsewhere?

Yeah I liked here as well this morning, she sounds like an "East End Bird" which is a plus in my opinion

on about mick meddows. wasn't he the exec producer of afternoons...
isn't sam jo whiley's old ba?
Now you say that I do believe Mick Meadows did become Executive Producer for a while on the Afternoon Show, although the examples I have of him date back to 2000, where Rhys was off several times, the show in the archive thread from April 2000 is the oddest as not only is Mick Meadows the producer on that show but Comedy Dave is off sick so Melinda kind of steps up to replace him & seeing as it's Friday John Culshaw is heard more often as well, it's a bit of an odd show to hear with Dave missing.

Shes been made permanent Executive Producer, with Sam taking over the Day Producer and Aled the Show Producer.
Interesting so Piers has gone onto other things, Rachel will be rarely heard on air with Aled becoming the main producer & Sam being the day producer. I take back what I said then about Sam being one of the long list of "temporary team members".
Funny thing was when they mentioned that Aled as a potential replacement for Will as Producer on the Afternoon Show, Will laughed & Chris said "over my dead body", funny how things have changed
