Simple question. Difficult answer i guess...

We have either heard live or on Johnny 1989's massive collection a sample from chris's time at radio 1.

The Breakfast Show as it's a great start to my day even if it does go down hill after that. Normally 10 am when Cotton shouts :(

As much as I like the Breakfast Show, to me the Afternoon Show will always be my favourite, just so many memories of listening to the show all the way home from college, laughing on the bus & being looked at as though I was a looney

Not only that as much as I like the current team, the line up of Chris, Dave, Will & Lizzie will always be my favourite team line up, I suppose it's because they were the first team I listened to regularly (more so that Chris, Dave, Rhys & Melinda of which half the time the latter two were either off sick, on holiday or training every so often).

I think I'd tend to agree with Gaspode, although the first link on the breakfast show is brilliant and they are doing some great links lately. I remember the Sisqo interview too, it was genius.

The only period in my life when I used to actively listen to the radio at the weekend (as opposed to it just coming on automatically in the car or something) was when Moyles did Saturdays.

I dunno, the Sisquo interview could be beaten by the very first time Atomic Kitten were on the Saturday Show.

Saturday show by miles. I loved that one.

Mid Day Chocolate Money.
Gargling.
May Divorce Be With You.
Girls Go To Football.
Boys Go To Shopping.

Do you remember the massive collection of celebrity dolls they had for the gargling feature and every week they asked the caller if they wanted the dolls or could they roll over, and every week they rolled over... by the very end they gave them away.

And don't forget it was the Saturday show that started off the Live Lounge Cover trend.

Man I miss that show.

I believe it possibly did, I used to like "Whose In The Dog House?", there's an edition in the archive where the caller it's a bit nutty & he makes Dave laugh quite a lot.

I voted for the Afternoon show. Chris, Dave, Will and Lizzie was my favourite era too but I did love the Saturday Show, it always felt unattached from the weekday show, like a separate entity - in my mind now I'm hearing that music when Dave used to go through what was coming up on the show.

I feel old.

I didn't realise that they had two different Saturday Shows until today, from late 1997/early 1998 to April 1998 they had the Saturday Breakfast Show (6-9am) and then in April 1998 they got promoted to the 10am-1pm slot, I imagine both shows were the same as they never differentiate between the two when talking about Saturday's.

I didn't listen to the Saturday show at the beginning because I hated going to sleep listening to Westwood! I did learn later on that you can actually tune the radio to listen to anyone at anytime.

Thanks for the archive, I'll be downloading a few things off it over the next few weeks.

I used to love the Saturday morning show too, 10-1. I used to get up, feeling rough from Friday night, in time to be outside on the drive with the radio on washing the car for the start of the show. I'd wash it, dry it, wax it and hoover and dust it pretty much every saturday, like you do when you first get ya licence! (dunny bother these days!) I was mortified when Chris managed to negotiate Saturdays out of his contract, although I could understand why!

As with the opening link now, the first 30/60 mins of the Saturday show was often highly unscripted random mumblings. 'appy days.
