Figures out tomorrow is it just coincidence Chris not on air! I think maybe down, he's not been doing any tv and the shows been in a rut just lately needs something just to freshen it up.

Or they could be up, Chris has taken this time of year off for the last few years if memory serves me right.

Shame Moyles didn't gain but glad Evans lost big.Clearly Evans was going to lose listeners but 1m is a big hit.

Slight correction, it's the other way around. Moyles has dropped 160k listeners this year from Q1's 7.88m to Q2's 7.72m which is exactly how many he had this time last year.

Yeah, I've just noticed that when I was re-reading the article.

Perhaps I shouldn't try and retype facts after having a few drinks.

I read the same story and I kept expecting to see Moyles' name and the story saying he now had the number one show now.

Unfortunately I didn't see that. I might be wrong, but I thought Moyles was right behind Evans. If that's the case, why doesn't Moyles get credit for being number one?

We know a good radio host when we listen to one and Moyles is the man!

I don't think that is the case - didn't Evans get 9 million last time? In which case, Moyles would have been a fair way off?

If you add the Under 15's in now then Moyles could be ahead.

He is 0.75m behind Evans amd I'm sure he's said there's around 1m under 15 listen to the show.

The 160,000 is probably down to early summer holidays and kids on exams

If you add the under 15s in, he could have been ahead all along.

6 Music did quite well as well, audiences are up to 1.2million, a 17% rise over the previous quarter, just hope they can keep those figures as the station deserves it, it's a great station :D

I expected a drop from evans, and moyles to drop a small amount.

Moyles about 250,000 and Evans 500,000

I really did not expect evans too lose a MILLION Listners.

Add the fact that Q3 is normally the worst where moyles loses about 300,000 - 500,000
What will evans lose... another Million, 1.25 million...

Evans will be hit hard in q3 and i expect moyles too have his usual slump...

Just My prediction.

From Freddie's link above:

Radio 1 is up this quarter to 11.81 million listeners per week, up from last quarter’s record 11.74m and 11.34m last year. The Chris Moyles Show has 7.72 million listeners every week – the same as last year but slightly down on last quarter’s record 7.88m.

The boy did good in comparision :)

Ah but if you include Golden Labradors then Evans has gone up by 15 million.

I'm liking his show this week. It makes such a nice change to have a quality alternative to Mills.
