Seriously, how many mistakes are there on the R1 news bulletins?? Words fumbled, mispronounced etc it's a chuffin shambles.

And why do we need a repeat every half hour? P!sh.

Newsbeat showcases up and coming young journalists, so it will always have more mistakes in than say Radio 2 or Five Live News. Overall, I think the standard of News on R1 is excellent. It is tailored to its audience perfectly. As for every half hour, get your facts straight. It is every hour on the half hour with extra bullitens at 7.00am, 8.00am and 5.00pm, along with the main Newsbeat programmes, which are enforced by the BBC Trust at 12.45am and 5.45pm.

Yeah, it does sometimes seem catered for a teen or pre-teen audience. I have listened to it and thought I may as well be listening to Newsround.

It's incredibly patronising!

They jump on statistics as if they are the unquestionable truth. They report as if they are speaking to idiots and it's akin to preaching most of the time.
