On this mornings show, they mentioned lifting Dom with helium balloons.
Funnily enough, on an old repeat of Brainiac last night, they did just that with John Tickle, and at around 14 stone, it took around 30,070 helium balloons to lift him.

Just thought I'd mention it.

I'd pay good money to see one of the team lifted this way. :) :) :)

The Take That song for Dom before the 8:30 news was my particular highlight this morning. Also putting the team in a hot air balloon would be hilarious, it would never happen though.

I can't believe it!

I always listen to the show on listen again, while I'm working on the computer, and I tend to have to pause it several times through the day until I get back to the computer.

When I posted this thread, I'd paused it ages ago, and only mentioned it because I saw it on Brainiac last night.
When SAV1OUR posted about the Take That song, I thought "I haven't heard that yet" and sure enough, I'd paused it about half hour before that.
After listening to that song (it was funny, and a parody in the making I think), they mentioned the Brainiac thing from last night.

Now it looks like I was posting about it because it was mentioned on the show, when in fact, I'd no idea that it had been.
I just happened to see it last night. :)

That's quite funny, because whenever I've seen things on TV that I hoped that they'd mention the next day on the show, they never have.
Mind you, I'm pretty sure that my figure of 30,070 balloons was right, compared to the 31,000 mentioned on someone's text.

LOL, I've just re-read the start of this thread, and it does just look like I'm telling people what was on the show that they've probably listened to anyway.

Hehe the helium thing reminds me of this story: http://www.darwinawards.com/stupid/stupid1998-11.html

Basically an American tried the same thing, but instead of using small helium balloons, he tied 45 WEATHER BALLOONS to his lawn chair instead! :D

I think he actually set a record for helium-balloon altitude, as he floated all the way up to 16,000 feet! 8O

When the police finally picked him up on the ground...his excuse? -"A man can't just sit around."

Wise words indeed.

Lol, what a Nob.
He survived that only to blow his brains out.

They used weather balloons on Brainiac too.
They had the sense to do it in a warehouse.

When they got to the point where they equalled the amount for his weight, before they added the last one, Tickle was pretty much in zero gravity.
I wouldn't mind having a go at that. :)
