Topher wrote:Ohh, another good one - Performance and * was their last good album (they had Oasis syndrome.... brilliant first two albums, mediocre after that).

Don't believe the truth was a return to form IMO.

Yeah but those thieving gits just changed the lyrics for The Shirehorses "The Bartender's Name Is Keith" ;)

You know what I believe there are Aliens, I believe that Gremlins are real and I believe the peas at the bottom of my garden sing songs but I just can't bring myself to believe that Sidders.

Sidders wrote:Believe it or not, I actually prefer Lucky Man.

Oh that's not a bad track at all, but wouldn't make my top 15 of all time, whereas BSS probably would.

I just think BSS got really over played and still is in some respects. Lucky Man is a really uplifting song which you rarely hear anymore.

I hadn't heard of this before now but it looks quite good have you got any of their songs which you could send me?

Believe it or not, I actually prefer Lucky Man.

Don't underestimate Sonnet. I personally prefer that to lucky man but obviously Bittersweet Symphony is my favourite of theirs.

Same here, add Sonnet, Love Is Noise and Ashcroft's solo hit Song For The Lovers, The Verve must be great live

Well its up to John really, but as long as there is something linking the song to the year, the rules have usually been pretty flexibly applied. Its meant to be fun, so as long as people aren't being stupid deliberately by picking songs from different years I don't think anyone minds giving a little bit of leeway.
