You can't really say that with any certainty though, can you?

true, but any kid who knows what * is, is probably a bit of a lost cause anyway when it comes to that :p

Is some of the reaction here dare I say it a sense of humour failure? As corsaboi said its either going to go over kids heads or they know about it already. For comparison when a elderly caller called Chris a c**t live on BBC Radio Ulster's mid morning Nolan show last Christmas, the show just bleeped the word out and put the video on youtube! The whole video is worth a watch but 7min 40 sec is the offending remark. Somehow I can't see the Dizzee interview getting the same treatment.

I quite enjoyed the interview, but not his best with dizzzzzeee. Although I agree with the unsuitability of the 'release' comment which was made, naughty Dizzzzzzeeeee. Aled and Sam musta been twitching a bit after that.

Have to add, after the debarcle that was the Chris Rock interview, I'm always pleased when a guest of that ilk (a night time performer) comes in to see Chris sounding like they prepared for it and are actually pleased to be there. I, like Chris, was truly gutted after the CR interview. At least Dizzzzzzzzzzzzee seemed awake and interested.

Fix up, look sharp.

Chris 'He didn't realise, he is just being Dizzee'

Don't book him again then if he can't understand what he said wrong on Breakfast radio!

pretty sure that during the double record breaks, sam/aled furiously told him what he said wrong - and chris even said, dizzee was worried about being banned from his show, and showed remorse.

also, with regards to the david haye story : "we got the gist of it"

tea went everywhere.

I have to say up front that I didn't hear it, but I've been told what was said. I reckon if I had heard it, no, I wouldn't have been offended, but I think I'd have recognised it as something that shouldn't have been said on the breakfast show on Radio 1. So no, not a sense of humour failure, more a recognition of what should and shouldn't be acceptable.

Just me that laughed and wasn't offended by it at all, then?

Same here. Laughed, not offended, but at the same time I acknowledge it shoulden't be said at Breakfast.

i haven't heard it yet does anyone have the unedited version? I hope this doesn't give people a bad perception of dizzee now cause I really like the bloke and he seems really genuine. yeah ok he has his gangsta roots and i can see why that would come out but he still seems like a good person.

I have just heard the unedited interview. Sorry if people do feel offended at all but I honestly think that people on here are escalating this a bit too much. Its not exactly that rude I don't think and I just think that he didn't realise how bad it may have seemed to other people listening. I don't think he deserves to be hated for this or anything though. I would like to see him apologise though still.

Why? he didn't swear, or slag anyone off. He used a word that is used to describe 'ejaculation' in everyday life. Anyone offended by it needs to get out more.

What i'd like to know is whether or not that word is actually able to be used before the watershed or not because I am not sure whether that word is actually deemed offensive or not by companies such as OFCOM. It's definitely not as bad as all the other swear words like * for example.

is it only those 2 programmes that you listed that will play .flv files?

To be honest most decent media players can play .flv files but not without the correct codec packs installed. Windows Media Player for example needs third party codecs such as K-Lite etc to play most video files.

From personal experience i just recommend VLC Media Player as it is highly reliable and does not require extra installation of third party codecs as they are all built in. I've thrown countless file types at it over the years and it works every time!

Hope this helps :D .

As to the interview, don't see what all the fuss is about, nothing he said was offensive. On another note I preferred the last time Chris interviewed Dizzee (last October I think?). Chris playing samples of Dizzee's voice - "For Real" & "I like Thai" etc over and over had me in stitches. Thought we were in for more of that.
