The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Seems to be that nearly everyone's favourite part of the show is the opening link. I won't stop that since it will also be my favourite part of the show. As Travis Bickle said also, I love the completely random moments that could end up in a rant or that hilarity ensues. Some of the old podcasts that I listened to seemed to have a few of those and see myself trying not to laugh out loud during work since that is where I tend to listen to the archived shows and the podcasts etc. I used to like the pub quiz but the thing that has annoyed me now about it is Chris constantly playing the "When I say..." bits for about a min. Carpark catchphrase doesn't do anything for me and I hate the golden hour mainly because it takes an hour away of what could be more banter or whatnot from Friday's and it is for me the weakest day of the week in terms of entertainment.

For the record Tina did "the whole shebang" while Dom was stranded by the ash cloud.

Did she? I thought they brought in a cover newsreader for that - my mistake.

The opening link is hardly ever half an hour tho... no surprise for the cheesy song to finish at nearer 6:40.

carpark Catchphrase is pants, I'm actually very surprised that they've kept a feature going for so long... is there a lack of ideas coming through for new material? :? I mean is celebrity raspberry really the best they could come up with to replace Where am I??

Golden Hour is hit or a miss, never know how it's going to go one week to the next and it usually goes either all the songs are rotten or amazing, same with the 2nd half.

And do some people still believe that the Chris Moyles show is all spontaneous, unscripted banter?? jeez some of the set-ups for changing the subject on the opening link you can spot a mile off..... :o

From memory that was just on the Monday before Chris got access to a studio in NY and Scott Mills continued for an extra day, with Tulip doing the news.

CPC is just a bit of a laugh to end with, always has been, that's kind of how it survived - impossible to see the show without it now. It's just one of those features that celebrate the life of the Breakfast show - because it was there to begin with. Nothing will ever replace it and thats the way it is. Roy Walker = Legend, and thats that.

As for the opening link claim, I've no idea where you get that from, as the David Gest and 'International Radio 1' clips are now usually played after the news, cos they talk right through, and the cheesy outtro jingle is scrapped.

For as long as Moyles is doing the breakfast show they should stick with CPC. It is a great way to end the show and I for one am not tired of it and doubt that I will be by next summer when the show is likely to end.

Dave is either brilliant or terrible with the stuff he writes for the show, but for CPC he gets it spot on in my opinion.

Really? I would doubt that but obviously the show can't last forever. I think it's way too popular still to be axed. It's like Radio 1's most popular show.

Absolutely loved Roy Walker singing Cee Lo Green - Forget You today. One of the best things i've heard in a while. Maybe he should go on X factor

Got to be the cheesy song, and the chats on the show (so long as they don't ramble onto football, that is when I tune out).

Also, when Moyles talks about the "anoraks" but proceeds to talk about how many blocks there are on the cartwall or how something in the studio works, I suspect he is one of us deep down, haha. Take a look at the postings on usenet? :D
