I have wood louse! How do I get rid? I can't really use poisen because of the baby and I've been reading reviews on the ultrasound plug ins but it seems abit hit and miss. I'm fed up of hoovering the buggers.

If Reuben was crawling around I could see why you wouldn't want to use a pesticide, but at this stage, as long as you're careful about washing your hands and everything I can't see why you shouldn't go down that route.

Hi Cat.

You need to address the cause of the problem as well I would think, ie Damp.

Where are they? Is it Wet? Can it be dried out? Have they got a food source? Can it be removed?

Are woorloose those armidiloo things?

Agree with the Yuds, crawling insect powder is no problem to use with babs in a basket. Just don't feed him the dead ones.

Get the qualified Pest Control people in to sort this out. With small children you cannot take risks.

My mum used to have a really bad problem with mice in her house (old wooden type cottage).

I bought her a set of these ultrasonic things which you plug into a socket and have just switched on. They worked for a while initially, but she has said it looks like the mice are starting to almost ignore the things now and she's seen a few more back in her house.

She's always put down poison for them, but obviously I wouldn't suggest that with a kid crawling about. So you could try these ultrasound / ultrasonic things, but just wanted to say that they might only work for a while.
