Okay, okay, okay. this is where i'm at. Chris has repeadedly said he's not leaving Radio 1. he may still leave the breakfast show though.

Is there any place on the schedule he could go to? Another Morning-Afternoon swappage? Mills to breakfast and Moyles back to Afternoons?

this is purely curiosity based, just want to know what other people think.

Given that the Breakfast slot is the flagship show for any radio station, I'd say no because I can't see Chris being effectively demoted.

Well, Simon Mayo went from breakfast to a different show on the same station, didn't he? But like Yudster, I can't see it.

Very very unlikely, the media would run headlines about Radio 1 snubbing Chris if they did this and it would look bad, it's either breakfast or nothing for Chris. Even if he moved to another station some point in the distant future I don't think they'd put him on Drivetime.

I'd have said it was unlikely because it wouldn't be possible to do the same kind of show at a different slot because the budget wouldn't be there for such a big team.

But then you kind of wonder whether a weekend show, especially given who the exec producer is, might start to look viable? Chris and Dave with Aled as producer, Rachel doing some on-air bits as exec producer and Dom doing news (albeit also on 1Xtra so all the bulletins are clock start) might start to look viable?

I think the only other even mild option would be for Chris to go back to PM drivetime (Snotts show), but I can't really see it happening. Chris is still a massif DJ on R1 line up. I think he'll stay on breakfast until he leaves the staion for good instead of moving to another slot.

I think if chris went to mid morning, he'd try and push for less mainstream playlist music and more of a golden hour mix of music.

Also, chris doing live lounge would be great. "Sorry, but that was RUBBISH!"

Except that wpuldn't happen would it? Despite the obvious reasons as to why, he's also said in the past with regards guests he's not in it to openly slate them because who emerges the winner? Nobody.
