I don't have the techie know how to know whether their products are any better than anyone elses or not. I just know that when Mr Yudster's iPod stopped working after a week they insisted on taking it in for repair instead of replacing it immediately (which they are obliged to do under retail legislation), then it took three weeks of phone calls for them to decide that they had in fact lost it in the system, and then another two weeks was spent with them insisting that they wouldn't have taken it in for repair, they would have replaced it so we must have been given a new one etc etc etc for nearly three months - at which point a solicitor friend wrote a letter to whoever was the most senior person whose name they would give us (which also wasn't easy to find out, even though yet again they are legally obliged to give us that information) and we ended up getting the full refund we were entitled to from the start. If they'd just taken the broken one back and given us a new one in the shop, like they were meant to, I'd probably be an Apple fan too.

replied to this and it was lost in the crash.....but the response was pretty much....you talk rubbish footsie boy! Stop being a fanboy and face facts.....the iphone revolutionised the smart phone, but since the first IPhone it has lagged behind the competition. It is no longer the best phone on the market, just the best accessory

What is wrong with my arguement? Tell me a phone with a better touchscreen. I'm not saying there isn't one, I'm saying I haven't seen one. My mates all hate apple and go out of their way to find a better phone - fine, but none of them have a better or smoother screen.

Its got a high res screen but not the most responsive. HTC sense Android interface is much better than the iPhone

Se,, Layabout Yudster has an iPhone. Mr Yudster has s swanky looking Sony smartphone the name of which escapes me. If you analyse them feature by feature, Mr Yudster's phone wins every category comfortably. But there's more to it than that isn't there? It seems to me that people - for whatever reason - find the experience of owning an iPhone a rewarding one in a way that doesn't seem to happen with other "better" phones. I have no idea why, but then I don't think it matters why - does it?

I still don't want one anyway.

I do think devices running Android will overtake iPhones eventually mainly because eventually people will get fed up with having the same phone as everyone else and with the Android OS, you do at least get a wide choice of device.

Just listening to the whole 'iphone mute button' jazz on Celeb Raspberry, what a farce. iPhones are such bobbins.
