Hey guys, I am just wondering if anyone who use the iplayer downloader to get the Breakfast shows is having a problem with it like I am. I have used it since Janurary and now for some reason it isn't working now whenever I put the code into the box and download it as it has the this programme is not available, try again later error. Are there any alternatives out there since I would hate to lose the ability to download the shows with ease.

I was just coming on here to moan about the same problem. I guess its cause its Thursday again. Something always seems to go wrong with the Thursday show on iplayer. I guess I'll just have to try again later.

Its not just the Thursday show, I haven't got any of the shows since last Friday downloaded and tried several of them and the same problem has occurred. Have to resort to this other program I use for the time being but hate to lose this one.

Doesn't matter anyway (it's called hidownload), it just downloads it as a flv file then I use another one to convert it to mp3 but it ain't doing that due to some error yet it worked fine when I used the same programs to download and convert colin murray's late night show on radio ulster.

Oh that seems like too much hassle to me. Iplayer downloader better start working again soon.

If ever I get this problem, my first port of call is to re-download the iPlayer Downloader as there may have been an update. This may or may not be the issue this time, but worth noting if ever you have a similar problem.

I did re-download from the site I got it from but think it might just be the same version. its that po-ru.com site or whatnot but don't know if there is any other site that has a more up to date version. I did that but to no success.

Yeah I have just done that as well from that same site but no luck.

Still just says "The programme file is not currently available. If it's new, try again later"

EDIT: Nothing is downloading for me now. I managed to download yesterday's show last night but it won't let me do that even now.

Hopefully it will be fine in the morning. If not, I have no other way of downloading it other than the way I did it before I found out about the iplayer, which was recording the shows on my zen mp3 player but they are .wav files and they are 300mb+ compared to the 197mb of the mp3. Hopefully ianpwilliams can get them and just download them without music when he has them up.

You could always record them through Audacity as well

If worse comes to worse, will do that. Have to find out how to use audacity though to record since I will probably be lost.

Looks like the program ain't working right now since probably the BBC changed things around or something. It really sucks because to be honest, I don't want to spend 3 1/2 hours recording the show whereas I could just download it and get it within a couple of mins. Hopefully, the guy who created it can figure a way around it and get it to work again,

Still not working. Must be the end of it permanently. I am OK for radio downloading but does anyone have another programme where you can download TV programmes off iplayer?

Radio Downloader is great, subscribing to a particular Radio show just makes it so much easier than copying & pasting in part of the page address to download each time.

Perhaps whoever did iPlayer downloader has stopped updating it now?

Ah I see, to be honest I can see where the BBC are coming from in regards to TV Programmes (after all a lot get released on DVD), however I don't get the hoo-har over Radio, it's not as if people download them for profit, they download them to listen to at their own convenience.

Yeah ipdl is *. Use radio downloader for radio and i found something get_iplayer for tv shows but cant work out how to use it.
