First she'll go off of the stamps, then.....

I want the Queen to live forever. I love her. I reckon it might be Maggie Thatcher's year though. Do hope so.

The UKIP guy who had a plane crash in the election, remember?

Agreed.

New topic? Too sick?

As for Piers Morgan, he really wouldn't be missed. And Gerry Rafferty, oh no!

I don't think it's sick, but then I'm a bit wary of wishing people dead. Loads of people I know say stuff to that effect anytime Thatcher is reported ill and I always think it's bad karma. Last time I went to see Stewart Lee live he harped on for ages and ages about Richard Hammond and how much he hated him and wished he'd died in that car crash, it was awful, really uncomfortable and not funny in the slightest. I haven't bothered seeing him again since.

Given the respective influences on the world of Maggie Thatcher and Richard Hammond, whilst I agree that its a bit much to wish Hammond dead, I can't see any reason to prevaricate about Thatcher.

I heard something about Maggie Thatcher having a public funeral or something when she dies? I'm sure that's not a great idea!

I agree with Frankie Boyle when he said that the only discussions people should be having is whether she should be dead before they put her in the coffin.

I really don't like Frankie Boyle anymore. I think he takes things a bit too far now and Tramadol Nights was not at all funny. Also its pretty bad when he has lost the moral high ground to Katie Price

I'm not saying I agree with him on all things (or even strictly speaking on this.... but it was funny) and I do think lately he's gone off the Boyle so to speak.

I actually think that this Katie Price fiasco may bring an end to his career or at least he'll have a break and then come back a lot cleaner

I can't stand him. If he thinks he is funny by making jokes about down syndrome babies and children with medical conditions then he needs his head checked, sicko.

I actually realised shortly after posting that and i now remember reading his books as a child. They were brilliant.

Back to the earlier chat - there is a significant difference between wishing a celebrity (or anyone) dead and not caring if they did die.

I wouldn't wish death on anyone. However, my feelings on Peirs Morgan are well documented round these parts.

Boyle was good on Buzzcocks, and I don't normally watch that, it's on iPlayer now.
