OK - So this might be easy or might have been answered before but if I play a show back in iPlayer is there a bit of software I can use to either download the show as MP3 or download sections of it?

I have MP3 editing kit but no way to download the shows

I record the shows from freeview and only occasionally ever download it.

That only tends to happen if I either my hdd recorder has screwed up or the freeview signal was playing up. When I do have to, I have generally used the iplayer downloader from here: http://po-ru.com/projects/iplayer-downloader/

I use radio downloader too, nice simple program that does what it says on the tin

I used iplayer downloader when I came across it early last year and was a lot easier for me to get shows this way rather than recording them for 3 odd hours each time on my mp3 player. But as a few people have said, Radio downloader is the way to go as you can subscribe to the show and instantly downloads the latest show for you so no hassle whatsoever.
