It's like seriously frowned upon, it not banned as such, just not thought of very highly, but all the same, everyone does it.....

( oh for goodness sake, just like voting for your own song choice on here, see, similar, one is a petty arbitary randon way to encourage fairness and equality, and the other is an old religion)

I don't. I genuinely think it spoils the game. I can't help my starry-eyed idealism.......

Ivor Novello award nominated B*witched.

Really?!? 8O

These Are The Days Of Our Lives won the Ivor Novello award but then again that's completely understandable, but B*Witched?!?! God standards slipped between 1992 & 1999.

I don't care if I'm being a music snob either, in my opinion:

Queen > B*Witched

By a long way :-P

I haven't checked this but if you only count bohemiam rhapsody once then i think queen have had the same amount of UK number ones as B*WITCHED which is 3

According to Wonkypedia their number 1's were:

Bohemian Rhapsody (twice 1975-6 & 1991-2, the only single to be number 1 twice & over two different years twice)
Under Pressure (1981)
Innuendo (1991)
These Are The Days Of Our Lives (1991-2 as a AA Side to Bohemian Rhapsody)

However the following were number 1 internationally in addition to the above:

Somebody To Love (Netherlands)
We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You (France)
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Australia, Netherlands & USA)
Another One Bites The Dust (USA)
Flash (Austria)
Radio Ga Ga (Ireland & Netherlands)
I Want To Break Free (Austria & Netherlands)
A Kind Of Magic (according the booklet in Greatest Hits 2 this song got to Number 1 in 35 Countries worldwide but not the UK or any of the charts in the Wikipedia lists)

However I should point out that the amount Number 1's don't necessarily make an awesome band, Queen actually had quite a lot of hits in the top 10, quite a few made it to Number 2 or 3 on the charts in the UK and stayed round for quite a while on the charts.

Also to add, as an example, Queen's A Kind Of Magic album peaked at number 1 on the charts, went Platinum 4 times (1.5 Million copies in the UK) and was on the UK album charts for 63 weeks 8O

So they had 4. One more than B*WITCHED. I know its not everything but its a good feat for b*WITCHED. They should make a comeback really.

Actually ignore me. I've just checked my ipod and they have had 4 number 1's - c'est la vie, rollercoaster, to you i belong and blame it on the weatherman

I can't believe we're debating whether Queen are better than b*witched.

Back to the voting for your own song mallarchy, if you can't police it, it may as well be legal. Kinda like fox hunting.

Ha! Your typical stance on things sir!

I have to share dispare at the fact there is even a conversation going on comparing queen and b*witched. I can't decide if tinton's love of those largly tallentless slappers is genuine or not.... Either way, there is no real comparison there.

In all fairness i do prefer queen. I'm just saying there are certain stats you could use to make b*WITCHED seem just as good.
