What a fantastic Golden Hour it was this morning, and I'm one the people that isnt completely in love with this tired feature. But this mornings selection really took me back, good times

I've been a big fan of the Golden Hour since "Established 1967" when it was on every day for a week, but the past few weeks have definitely been much better, and I've got the year right twice in a row!

Out of interest how come you're tiring of it? I think it breaks up the standard Radio 1 playlist nicely

well tired in a sense that it isnt really original. Ive always liked how Moyles goes against the grain, (having an extremely popular breakfast radio show that plays about 5 songs), but there are thousands of radio shows with a Guess The Year feature. (Mine included )

i do however, like Part 2 where the team pick their own songs.

The first half hour is dire. Radio 1 management STILL won't let Chris choose a year any earlier than 1990. Therefore its just the same years cropping up over and over again.

I like the second part, as the team members choices aren't restricted by years.

I'm not a fan of the golden hour, but todays was pretty good as have been the past few weeks as well. I agree with someone else that the first half is the worst though. If you want older songs and dont share Chris's taste in music you are out of luck.

I think the Golden Hour is by far my favourite segment of the week, just one hour of going back to the past. It's not exactly the golden era but early 2000s music is still better than music nowadays and breaks the daily routine.

the stand out thing from this Fridays GH was the fact they played MousseT. For a laugh I googled "i'm horny" from my work machine. BIG mistake! All sorts of warnings for 'internet usage policy'.... DOH!
