Simple question, will Chris and Dave get past the 37 hours record?

Without a doubt, yes. Chris wouldn't do it if he didn't think he could achieve it and as it is for charity it is even more of a reason why they are not going to fail this challenge.

Voted yes.... as bmstinton93 just mentioned, it's charity, Chris always makes an effort.

I ain't really sure if you can even compare it to the whole Kilimanjaro thing, but that whole thing 2 years ago showed Chris will do pretty much anything to help raise money.

Charity has no impact on the brain, if you need to sleep you need to sleep.I hope they do it but it's asking a lot.

Junior doctors regularly go without sleep for at least that long, and they actually have to do hard stuff too. I'm not trivialising it, just underlining that Chris and Dave will be able to do it. They'll be bloody knackered by the end though.

they have an hour or two to sleep in the on-call room though, chris won't even get an hour unless he goes 12 hours with no breaks whatsoever.

Not always they don't, and they never bank on it. Its not at all unusual for them to not stop for a whole shift.

But anyway, it was just an illustration to show that its not beyond the realms of possibility. I think they'll prepare well, do it properly and make a great job of it.

To be honest its not really that hard of a challenge staying awake for that long. Its just one night with little to no sleep. I know people my age who go out and get pissed at night until about 4am then are in work by about 7 the next day. Yeah they'll be a bit tired but its still not exactly an impossible challenge at all

I dont seen any reason why they shouldnt be able to do it. What will make it harder is that they dont have any physical work to do and they will be largely sitting/standing.

I have done a few night shifts over the years and have gone that long without sleep a couple of times. It isnt easy, but it's perfectly manageable. The hard part will be on the first night at they time they would normally go to bed, but then you get a second wind and it carries you through till the morning.

Then psychologically they will know that the worst is over and they will just anticipate the end.

when i've done nights. I've got up at say 8am and gone nearly 40 hours before bed. I would invisige that adrenaline will get them through till the the end of HIS show on thursday. And then a second wind too get them through to the end of zane's show at 9.
How could they end it. Maybe a solo show 9-10pm with all the d.j's and guests in the live lounge with a bit of banter and a look back on the the past 2 days.

I'd make 10pm thursday 39.5 hours.
