At first I thought to pull an all-nighter would be a bit extreme to watch it all, but then I might, I don't have any reason not to... so I think I might.

Pretty much guessed it spot on, aren't we just bloody brilliant :D

I assume this was just a joke at the time as Chris did go on to say later in the show he doesn't know how much longer he will actually do, they may aim for 40+

Also, I'm surprised they're not starting this on the 17th so that the record attempt would come to an end during the live Comic Relief show on BBC1 and could potentially be televised? Unless of course they are in fact planing to smash Mayo's record and go for something like 60 hours?

Anybody got any Chris Moyles Show drinking game rules? (has this topic come up before?)

I think this is the first time in years it's been socially acceptable to drink during the show

2 fingers :

every time an incongruous time check is made.
whenever chris does an accent.
aled makes a reference to technology/gym

4 fingers :

when you hear paul the voiceover guy.
tayo/taio gag.
chris calls a song rubbish.

2 fingers:

whenever Chris or Dave insults Matt Fincham
any Dom baldness comment
playing the pips

4 fingers:

crashing the vocals (bound to happen the more tired they get)
playing a parody version of a playlist song instead of the original
playing the pips over the news jingle

Assuming they web stream it, I'll attempt to record the stream for the entire time. If someone can record the Freeview/other red button material, that'd be great.

ianpwilliams was kind enough to send me DVDs of the CM on Tour shows. I haven't shared them (I did share all the web rips though). If there's interest, I can share a torrent somewhere.

Chris and Dave have already vetoed coffee and chocolate because of the negative effect on the plan - you really think they're going to have alcohol? They won't if they're taking it seriously, and I think they really want to break this record.

As a CMS geek I can't wait for this. Conveniently I have a day off on the 16th so plenty of listening shall occur.

Well gonna donate too.

I shudder to think how big the Red Button stream will come in at, probably 30GB+, that's going to be too much to share, I think. The webstream will be a more manageable file size, but will still be pretty colossal.

i know some people may not like it. If it's too much memory. Maybe you Could torrent the file(s) for downloading.
I know it's not the best solution. But i would be willing too seed the file(s) for everyone for a month atleast after it's uploaded.

Well let's get the programme recorded, then we'll talk about how we'll share it. My Freeview PVR has been showing signs of old age over the last couple of weeks, had quite a big crash last night. 38 hours of continuous recording (TV + Radio) will be a test. Just hope something doesn't kick it off the one Red Button channel as I cannot record the Red Button stream on Virgin.

Nah! Not if you have a 22-drive server like mine!
