We can't afford to lose at home. We really can't. Yes, we had a decent away win in the week, but we should capitalise on that, not make up for it!

When you say 'we', but you are a good Worcester lad, I assume you mean 'they'....?

Well it may as well have been 'we' as if I would have played I don't think they could have done much worse

i didn't want to open the posting about last night, but you're right.

we were outplayed, defended quite well and barca didn't take their chances when it was 11 vs 11.

JUST like we have seen teams come to the emirates, defend through necessity and earn a draw which in terms of football they didn't deserve (which i thoroughly believe we would have done if we stayed 11 vs 11). when teams defend well and break away against us, it's annoying to arsenal fans, but neutrals salute the efforts of the opposing team and we acknowledge that they worked for their draw or win.

softest second yellow card i've seen given. the nou camp's sound is phenomenal - the ref was looking for an excuse to send RVP off in my opinion (probably biased and wrong), but the shot was taken 1 second after the whistle was blown.

if this happened to chelsea, or any mourinho team there would be death threats by now.

edit. *'s sake! wenger and nasri charged with improper conduct by UEFA. absolute joke.

I cant wait for the next Tuesday Club Podcast

I wanted Arsenal to win and I think that RVPs sending off gives them an excuse to blame it on. They where never going to win that match and even before RVPs soft red card, I still thought Barca where going to spank Arsenal all over the pitch

Holding out for a draw.

I agree it was a soft sending off, but Barca are far superior a team to Arsenal and the possesion they had it was inevitable that they would have won

inevitable? i think everyone has seen games where the opposing team just doesn't have the luck they need to score, no matter how dominant they are.

it wasn't inevitable, it was highly likely.

arsenal collapsing under almunia's dodgy form, sending us out of the cup which i'm going to this weekend (furious, was looking forward to seeing Szcesney live) - and drop points to all the SHIT teams we'll be playing.

that's inevitable.

i'm so angry at everything right now, i just want to punch something all over again.

AND WE'RE OUT OF TOILET PAPER. I HAD TO SHOWER.

THEY'RE GOING TO QUALIFY TONIGHT AND GO FURTHER THAN US IN THEIR DEBUT SEASON.

i'm so angry. i rarely advocate drugs on a public forum, but smoking something to calm me down would be the way to go.

if spurs win the champions league i'm genuinely emigrating.

Arsenal fans are deluding themselves - Barca would have scored as many as they needed to last night. Arsenal should have gone for it more like in the first leg.

The penalty claims Barca had have gone pretty much unmentioned too. As was the fact that the penalty they DID get was very probably a goal scoring opportunity and Koscielny stayed on the park.

Feel sorry for Alumnia though. He had an absolutely cracking game. If it weren't for him I doubt anyone would be complaining about Van Persie's second yellow card as it would have been a much bigger winning margin.

Actually, RVP's first yellow was bizarre as well. If the ref saw what he thinks he saw, I'm not sure why he wasn't given a straight red - he's whacked Alves in the face. But I'm not sure Van Persie even knew Alves was there.

It was just annoying that after such a brilliant first leg we were treated to a (perfectly understandably) negative Arsenal and an awful referee.

does anyone know the history/significance of piers morgan and the copenhagen final (arsenal vs. galatasary) in 2000?

i'm hearing a lot about witch-hunts and people losing their jobs, but can't find any articles relating to it.

Piers Morgan is also responsible for getting 35 people the sack after printing in the mirror falsely that these people were involved in football hooligan riots in Copenhagen between Arsenal and Galatasary fans. These people were branded as thugs violent and hooligans, they all lost their jobs and were banned from Arsenal for life.

Smug twerp Piers later admitted the Mirror got this wrong, that these people weren't hooligans just in the wrong place at the wrong time seeking to protect themselves and their kids. He has even apologised on Twitter for it . Sadly the Mirror didn't campaign to remove the labels they wrongly attached to these people neither did it campaign for them to get their jobs back or remove the stain they put on these people's reputations. Sadly all of these people are still banned by Arsenal, which is why Arsenal fans dislike Morgan intensely and wish to let him know , you are not welcome to sit amongst us or at our ground. In our eyes you aren't an Arsenal fan just a grass

I'm sure I must have shouted "SHOOT!" in that position a hundred times. They never do. I'm glad someone did.
