His tip to them was to keep going through to the end as if they have a sleep they won't wake up! Also the fact that to go on to 50 hours the other dj was using narcotics. Theres no way they can get through to the end if they haven't got some sort of help like that.

With the set-up Radio 1 have, the light room, the refreshments and what-not, they don't need stimulants. The new people coming and going will have a massive effect too I reckon. New people always perk up a party and wake people up, think it'll be a similar effect here.

I assumed he was making one in the first place. It did seem so obvious.

I know I was unsure but judging by his response to my joke response to Ilovematt I was a bit concerned he thought I had a fetish over soiled chocolate orange.

I might be with Madeley on the napping front, I'm not sure yet - I reckon if I was going to have a nap there's no way in hell I'd get woken up....

As long as I had someone to physically get me out of bed I think it'd be better to nap. They've show before in studies that having a 15-30 minute nap refreshes you for the day. Longer than that makes you more tired I think.

Yeah, I have done long periods without sleep due due work, and it has been easier for me not to nap. I have found it better to remain mentally alert. That said, I have done that over 24-36 hours and not 52.

From my experience you can go 36 hours without kip and be OK. You will be knackered, but it is perfectly manageable.

grimshaw: "no?"
katy b: "... uumm..."

brilliant. i can't help but think this is downright rude that her people haven't bothered to get her to listen to ten minutes of it in the last sixteen hours so she could say "yeah i heard you do x with y". i was almost hoping that chris would tell her to jog on.

that said, keep going guys! this is a geekfest that i don't want to pull myself away from.

I have a horrible feeling I will be watching till the late night Moyles show ends at 2am.

I hope Moyles takes his break then or I will probably still keep watching. :-|
