I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who has been recording, editing, and hosting these files. I have been really enjoying catching up and listening to this amazing undertaking!

I don't know if this will work out but I've taken it upon myself to host the show on youtube. It's very slow going (2 hours to download, 2 hours to edit and render then another 3 to upload) but I'm giving it a go. Depending on how strict the BBC are they might take down the videos so it might all be a waste of time but I'll take a chance. This is the satellite stream that I've uploaded to youtube but this is a small quality loss from the journey the video has. I'm editing out all music and news bulletins.

You're a better man than me. I started doing this using my super-account that I thought allowed hosting longer videos -- YouTube asked me to be a partner a while ago, but I haven't done it yet.
It wouldn't let me upload more than 15 minutes, so I thought screw that!
I've got the "R1MoreMoyles" account, if you want to use it?

At 15 minutes each, that'd be 208 videos! If they're in a Playlist, that could work quite well, but it's still a ton of work on your end.

I'm just going to take a stab at it and see how it goes. Granted it's alot of work but alot of it goes on in the background while I do my normal stuff on the computer. To be honest I'm kind of glad for the 15 minute limit, while it's a pain in the backside it does mean smaller chunks are uploaded quicker. I'll see how it goes.

You may want to review a couple of highlights when the music is on -- one at the end of the Scott's Wednesday show when one of the bosses is blatantly checking out Edith's bum (they reference it when the mics go hot) and also Davina's mad dancing when she's on at 2am-ish.

If you don't want to include music, you could mute it at those times, but still show the video. Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment.

Has YouTube got a batch upload function? If so, you're better off setting that to run overnight. The same with transcoding your videos. If you're going to do it all manually, you're never going to finish it, the sheer volume will drive you crazy.

Well as soon as we get a full master copy of the whole thing, which looks like most will be from dvb-s, and the bit at the end dvb-t, i can cut the music out and shove it on my directors account.

No time limit and a max of 20gb file size.

Just got to work out would it be better to put it up as 1 huge video, or in 3 parts

Yup. Also, it's more traditional to include 10% pars, which would fix this, but would of course increase par gen time and upload time.
