Although Sara Cox wouldn't need to have a contract sorted would she? Would be an odd move to have her "contracted" in to the show - Good as she is now she's not going to be the fresh new signing Radio 1 would want to make to the breakfast show. She'd just do a guest stint to cover for Chris or Dave if one or other were unavaliable other than scheduled holiday - she's done that for other DJ's and even if freelance surely that doesn't require a new contract every time... I should think it's just added as a possible to her current deal.
As for Matt being promoted to producer- again surely he'd be BBC employed so wouldn't be negotiationg a contract to be ironed out before an announcement could be made. He's not a massive on air presence anyway to be classed as a "team member" being replaced anyway i`d have thought.
Any new team member at this late stage would have to be something that would allow a post Moyles era of brakfast to happen at some point. As usual - Chris is on a 1 year contract to do breakfast, so we have no guarantee of The Chris Moyles show on breakfast or any other slot at this stage after July.... a new team member for 3 months would seem unlikely without being part of a grander plan. More use of Greg in the show would seem the most likely.
