I have fond memories of Chris from that time, and I know it's now a totally different era, but god that show is honorificly bad!

Nostalgia is a wonderful thing - I'm scared to listen to any more.

Fantastic Jamie, any vintage Moyles of that age and any audio of Mark & Lard's actual breakfast show is great stuff, thank you for finding this, amazing to think that 14 years on nearly that old stuff of Moyles is still being found.

Thank you also to Ian for all of the editing of the 2005 show, nice to see more Breakfast shows from over 5 years ago appearing in the archive :)

Thanks :) I don't know what the BBC think about people downloading shows from the iPlayer (although you would think they would be happy that edited and unedited versions of BBC radio shows are available to fans long after they have disappeared from the iPlayer after a week), but I would hope that the Chris Moyles Show team would appreciate the archive that we have built up. It's true that there are people on this forum who are always criticizing the team, but I am definitely not one of them. I never miss a single minute of any of the shows (well, apart from the music and news), and that's because the show is absolutely brilliant :D

Out of interest, I'm not sure what you mean when you say "an edited version would be nice"...these are all edited versions of the shows - all the music and news have been taken out.

That "an edited version would be nice" was in reply to those show which came from Germany a few years ago :) Anyway, keep (Chris's) and your good work coming in, as I'm always sitting in school as the show starts :D

PS: sorry for some grammar or spelling mistakes, I'm learning English for 4 Years now and I'm german (and let me tell you, this Super Gut-Song Dev did play in the marathon show is Italian :D )

Thanks swaddon! It's nice to know that people are enjoying the archive! Especially for me at the moment, because I'm editing and uploading the old shows without listening to them, because I'm saving all the old shows for when they stop (which will hopefully be a very long time away).

Programme archiving was down to the programme teams of the time until about 3 years ago when all programmes were stored automatically.

Luckily for us I've kept every show since I've worked on it :)

I don't know where we stand with me handing over tapes of the show. Maybe when the day comes and the show ends and we need a home for them I'll sneak them out under my jacket and send them to you :)

Ian what would you do without you and the others

Hello, Hello. I'm enjoying listening to all the old shows. Even the new ones as I usually only listen to the podcast due to being in bed in the morning. It just shows that the best of podcast only scrapes the surface.
I am in no way ungratefull but will there be more shows coming? I mean the older shows. I'm curious, It's not meant to sound like a demand.

What's "old"? If you're talking Early Bit, then the chances are very, very slim indeed, unless someone can step out of the shadows with some tapes. Saturday show/Afternoons - I think Johnny might have a handful of more shows left, but I think the majority of what he has is already out there. Breakfasts - I have a ton from May 2005 onwards, the first batch are with Ian to edit down, he's done a dozen or two of these, but there's many more to go.

I'm sure there's at least one lurker out there with some tapes lying somewhere. If you are that person, then all you have to do is stick the tape in the post to Ian or someone else, me included, and we'll do the necessary work. There's more out there to find, I'm sure. I've put an appeal out to someone who used to record old radio shows to see if he has any Moyles, but I think the chances are pretty slim to be honest.
