Presents are traditionally stored under a tree, which have roots. 'Roots' rhymes with 'boots', which are what you wear on your feet. Feet is an imperial unit of measurement, as are inches and pounds. Pounds sterling is the currency in Great Britain. Great Britain is a collection of islands joined to Europe by the Channel Tunnel. A tunnel would ordinarily be very dark. Dark is a word associated with chocolate. Chocolate contains a lot of sugar, which can make you fat. Ireland, first name Steven, plays for Manchester City. Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce has the same surname as Radio 1's Dave Pearce, who hosts Dance Anthems. Anthems of a different type are played at sporting events such as the Olympics, where you might win gold. 'Gold' was a hit for Spandau Ballet. Pulp are fronted by Jarvis C0cker, who shares the same surname as another Sheffield singer, Joe C0cker. Joe C0cker got to number one in 1968 with 'With A Little Help From My Friends', which was later used on the credits for 'The Wonder Years', which charted the younger years of Kevin Arnold, played by Fred Savage. Savage Garden were an Australian duo who had several mediocre hits including 'To The Moon And Back'. 'To the moon and back' is how you might describe the journey made in 1969 by astronaut Neil Armstrong. Neil Armstrong shares the same surname as Lance Armstrong, who's the other half of Sheryl Crow. Sheryl Crow's lowest point was probably her ill-advised cover version of 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns N' Roses. A mirror is something that can reflect light. Light is the opposite of heavy in the world of weight. Weight is measured using scales. Scales of a different type are found on some reptiles, like lizards and stuff. Lizards have long tongues which can catch flies. Flies can be a nuisance, especially to residents of Australia, who have anti-fly hats with corks attached to them with bits of string. Strings are an important part of the orchestra, along with brass. Brass monkeys is a popular expression which refers to it being cold. 'Cold Mountain' was a recent movie starring Renee Zellwegger. Cold mountains are the sort of places normally only inhabited by sheep and goats. Goats often live in groups, like the Three Billy Goats Gruff, who wanted to get across the bridge but kept getting stopped by a troll who lived under the bridge, which links to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and 'Under The Bridge'.

This year sees the release of 'Mission Impossible 3', starring Tom Cruise, who was in '*'. The soundtrack to '*' featured 'Kokomo' by the Beach Boys. The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson was the inspiration behind the song 'Brian Wilson' by the Barenaked Ladies. The Barenaked Ladies' biggest hit was entitled 'One Week', which we've performed with them onstage at Wembley Arena. 'Arena' was a live album by Duran Duran, who performed at last summer's Live Aid concert in Rome, which is the capital of Italy. A magazine of a different type is what you'd find inside a machine gun. A machine gun is something you're not allowed to take on an aeroplane, a bit like fireworks. Fireworks are what you might buy on bonfire night, which commemorates the burning of Guy Fawkes, who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. The Houses of Parliament feature on bottles of HP Sauce, cos that's what the 'HP' stands for. HP sauce is brown. Brown, first name Gordon, is Chancellor of the Exchequr and compared to someone like Ronnie Corbett, would look like something of a giant. When you think of the word 'giant' in the context of American bands from yesteryear you think of They Might Be Giants, which links to They Might Be Giants and 'Birdhouse In Your Soul'.

Flaws:

Bonfire Night does not commemorate the burning of Guy Fawkes, just his plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Fawkes did not die until the January following the plot, when he was condemned to be hanged (but in fact jumped from the gallows and fatally broke his neck). Dave also doubted his assertion that They Might Be Giants are American, but he was correct on this one - they grew up and were formed in Massachusetts.
