Nu Generation, In Your Arms (Rescue Me)

Today's Transcript:

Pink is a colour that you would most associate with pigs, which are the primary source of bacon. Bacon, first name Kevin, is an actor who's starred in various Hollywood films such as 'Footloose', 'Flatliners' and 'JFK'. As well as being the name of a film and the former President of the United States, JFK is also the name of the main airport serving New York City. New York is the setting of the telly show and current film 'Sex and The City', which stars Sarah Jessica Parker, or SJP as she's known. Sarah Jessica Parker shares almost the same initials as Shaun Wright Phillips, who's the son of former Arsenal legend Ian Wright. Right in the world of directions is 'droit' in French and 'starboard' if you're a seaman. Seaman, first name David, also used to play for Arsenal, and also played the first half in goal during Sunday's Soccer Aid game at Old Trafford, which was organised by Mr Robbie Williams. Robbie Williams is reported to be working on a new track with former bandmate and songwriter Gary Barlow. If Gary Barlow was to give Robbie Williams a hand carrying a load of shopping back from the supermarket, the best way to carry the shopping would be in your arms, which links to Nu Generation and 'In Your Arms'.

The Adventures Of Stevie V, Dirty Cash

Today's Transcript:

In your arms is probably the best place to cradle a baby. 'Baby Can I Hold You Tonight' was originally a hit for Tracy Chapman, but was covered years later by Boyzone. Boyzone's Shane Lynch is the brother of twins Adele and Keavy Lynch, who ten years ago made up 50% of B*Witched, whose first release was a number one chart-topper entitled 'C'est La Vie'. C'est la vie, translated from French into English, means 'that's life'. If you add the word 'guard' onto the end of 'life' you get 'lifeguard', which are the people whose job it is to look after you when you're swimming in the sea or in a pool. 'Pool' rhymes with 'school', which is the collective term for a load of fish. Fish are a good source of amino acids and other essential oils and stuff, I think, which are good for you as part of a healthy diet. The word 'diet' is an anagram of the word 'tied', which is the past tense of the verb 'to tie', which is what you do to a tie that you would tie around your neck. 'Neck' in * rhyming slang is 'Gregory', as in Gregory Peck, who was an actor years ago, in the olden days. The word 'days' begins with the letter 'D', as does 'dizzy'. Dizzee Rascal last year released 'Dirtee Cash', which was a reworking of a track called 'Dirty Cash', which links to The Adventures of Stevie V and 'Dirty Cash'.

Flaws:

Tracy Chapman didn't actually have a hit in the UK with 'Baby Can I Hold You', although she did record it first. Also, fish contains omega-3 oils, not amino acids. Some texters stated that the collective noun for fish is shoal rather than school, but in fact both are acceptable, although for some specific types of fish (eg bass) shoal would be the appropriate word.

Robbie Williams, Lazy Days

Today's Transcript:

Cash, first name Pat, is a famous former tennis player, who's from Australia. Australia were last night thumped 4-0 by Germany, with Tim Cahill ridiculously sent off with a straight red that never should have been. 'Been Caught Stealing' is the title of a classic record by Jane's Addiction. Addiction is never a good thing, unless, of course, you're addicted to listening to the Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1. 'One' is the title of a beautiful song by U2, who are from Dublin, like Jedward and Louis Walsh. If you remove the 'L' from the middle of 'Walsh' you're left with 'wash', which is something that Aled doesn't do in the morning. 'In The Morning' is a song title that links Razorlight with The Coral. Coral is something that you'd expect to see if you were scuba diving around the Great Barrier Reef. Reef are the name of a band who hail from the West Country, whose biggest hit was entitled 'Place Your Hands'. Hands are the internationally accepted unit of measurement for measuring the height of a horse. When a horse retires from whatever it used to do when it wasn't retired, it probably just spends its time walking around a field or sleeping, and generally enjoys a laid-back existence of lazy days, which links to Robbie Williams and 'Lazy Days'.

Flaws:

Louis Walsh is from Mayo, not Dublin.

Snoop Dogg featuring Pharrell, Drop It Like It's Hot

Today's Transcript:

Lazy days are what you'd be enjoying if you were unemployed or had just finished your exams. Exams often take place in a sports hall, which is also a good place to play basketball. Basketball is a good example of an American sport that's not as good as our sports, I don't think, a bit like American football and baseball. The plural of 'baseball' is 'baseballs', which is also the name of the band from Germany that SCott Mills has on his World Cup show from the pub on Friday afternoon, ahead of the England vs Algeria game. Algeria is in Africa, so it's somewhere that probably gets quite hot. Hot is what you want your barbecue to be before you start cooking your sausages. Sausages can be made from all sorts of different meat combinations, such as pork, beef or even chicken. The plural of 'chicken' is 'chickens', which produce eggs, which are nice to eat for breakfast. Breakfast is apparently the most important meal of the day according to Andi Peters, more important than both your lunch and tea. If you were over at Snoop Doggy Dogg's house having a baked potato for tea and you stupidly got it out of the oven with your bare hands, you'd probably have to drop it like it was hot, which links to Snoop Dogg and 'Drop It Like It's Hot'.

Snow Patrol, Chasing Cars

Today's Transcript:

Snoop Dogg features on a new Star Wars-themed advert on the telly, alongside David Beckham, Noel Gallagher and Ian Brown from the Stone Roses. Roses are red, violets are blue, dogs go woof and cows go moo. Cows are a large source of milk, which can be full fat, semi-skimmed or skimmed, and each of these milk options has a different colour lid so that you can tell them apart, otherwise all milk would look pretty much the same, as it's all white. The All Whites are what we commentators like to call New Zealand, who yesterday earned a well-deserved point in their one-all draw against Slovakia in South Africa, which was apparently very very cold yesterday. 'Yesterday' was a big hit for The Beatles, whose Paul McCartney performed last weekend at the Isle of Wight festival. White, first name Jimmy, is a famous snooker player, who shouldn't be mistaken for Barry White, who's a now sadly deceased singing legend. 'Legend' was the title of a best of compilation of Bob Marley and the Wailers. 'Wailers' sounds a bit like 'hailers', as in loudhailers, which are used by people like the police. When the police are going after baddies in stolen vehicles they will often find themselves chasing cars, which links to Snow Patrol and 'Chasing Cars'.

Flaws:

Urban Cookie Collective, The Key The Secret

Today's Transcript:

Snow Patrol are from Northern Ireland, but actually met or formed or something while at university in Dundee. I think Lorraine Kelly also went to university in Dundee, which is the city famous for its cake and for the fact that it has two professional football teams, whose grounds are extremely close together. 'Together Forever' was a big hit years ago for Rick Astley, who's been popping up again on telly recently in a sort of cult fashion. Fashion is the area of expertise of people like Stella McCartney, who's the daughter of sir Paul McCartney, who likes to listen to this show every day. 'Every Day I Love You Less And Less' was a top ten smash for the Kaiser Chiefs, who have a lead singer called Ricky who's a keen cyclist. A cyclist is someone who might roll up the right leg of their trousers to stop it from getting stuck in the chain. 'The Chain' by Fleetwood Mac is a piece of music best known as the theme to Formula 1, which is covered these days by Mr Jake Humphrey. Jake Humphrey shares one name in common with Jake Shears, who's the lead singer of the Scissor Sisters. Scissor Sisters are from New York, which is an urban area in the United States, where they don't say 'biscuit' but instead say 'cookie'. When you think of the words 'urban' and 'cookie' in the context of great dance records you think of Urban Cookie Collective, which links to Urban Cookie Collective and 'The Key The Secret'.

Flaws:

Lorraine Kelly didn't go to university - she turned down a place to take a job on the East Kilbride News newspaper.

Blur, Charmless Man

Today's Transcript:

A key is something that you'd possibly need to open your back doors, and a secret is something that you probably don't want anybody to know. If you add 'ledge' to the word 'know' you get 'knowledge', which is something that you'll need if you're doing your exams today. Today will be yesterday when we get to tomorrow. 'Tomorrow' is the title of a record by James that was released in 1997, which was also Friday's year on the Golden Hour. Golden is the colour that you probably like your crumpets, rather than black which means they're completely burnt. 'Burnt' is the past tense of the verb 'to burn', as in 'Burn Baby Burn', which was a top 30 smash for Ash. Ash is what you're left with after you've burnt some logs or coal. Coal is in the ground, which is why it needs to be mined, and coalmining is dirty and dangerous work. Dangerous is a word that could be used to describe bungee jumping and swimming with sharks. Sharks have two rows of teeth, which is why you don't want to get eaten by one. One is the number of games and chances that England have in order to rescue their World Cup, and hopefully they can focus now instead of coming out with outbursts like Rooney's which made him look like a charmless man, which links to Blur and 'Charmless Man'.

Axwell featuring Max C, I Found U

Today's Transcript:

A blur is what you'd see if somebody stole your spectacles. The word 'spectacles' shares many of the same letters as the word 'tentacles', which is what an octopus has eight of. Eight is the number of people in a rowing boat, and rowing is a sport that you'd associate with mega-Olympians Sir Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pincent. Matthew Pincent shares one name in common with Matthew Kelly, who used to host 'Stars In Their Eyes'. 'Eyes Wide Shut' was the title of an odd film starring Tom Cruise, who by contrast probably isn't odd in any way. Odd is how you would describe exactly 50% of all the numbers in the world, and these odd numbers are the opposite of all the even numbers. 'Even Flow' was the track number 2 on the debut album from Pearl Jam, entitled 'Ten'. Ten is when we finish and when Fearne Cotton starts, although this week it's not Fearne Cotton, it's Annie Mac. A mac is what you should pack in your bag if Dominic Byrne says it's going to be dry and sunny all day. All day would be a really long time to play a game of hide and seek, and if you'd been hiding from somebody all day and they eventually worked out where you were they'd probably say "I found you", which links to Axwell and 'I Found U'.

Take That, Never Forget

Today's Transcript:

'Axwell' sounds a bit like 'Maxwell', 'cause it's basically just 'Maxwell' without the 'M'. M People were a Manchester based band who were big in the 90s and were made up of Mike Pickering, Heather Small, Shovel and some other fella whose name I forget. 'Forget Myself' is a beautiful song from the brilliant Elbow. The elbow is a part of the body that is particularly susceptible to injury during the playing of tennis. Tennis is popular again at this time of year because of Wimbledon. Wimbledon is a district of South-West London, and is also famous for being where the Wombles are from. 'From Out Of Nowhere' is the title of an ace record by Faith No More, who last year headlined Download. Download took place nearly two weeks ago at Donington, which is also the old venue for Monsters of Rock. 'Rock' rhymes with 'sock', which is what you wear on your feet. The plural of 'sock' is 'socks', which are what you need to pull up, metaphorically speaking, if you haven't performed to the best of your ability and have one final chance to rectify this. It's this scenario for England today in their must-win game against Slovenia, so it's important that they never forget the hopes and expectations of the nation, which links to Take That and 'Never Forget'.

The Streets, Don't Mug Yourself

Today's Transcript:

The ability to never forget is something that you associate with an elephant. 'Elephant Stone' is the title of a track by the Stone Roses. Roses can be prickly, so you've got to be careful you don't prick your finger. 'Finger' rhymes with 'linger', which was a big hit for The Cranberries. Cranberries are a super-fruit, and good for people who suffer from certain things. 'Things Can Only Get Better' was a big hit for D:Ream, whose lead singer, Peter Cunnah, is from Northern Ireland, like Colin Murray. Colin Murray shares one name in common with Murray Walker, who's a legend when it comes to Formula 1 commentary. Commentary, or more precisely football commentary, is something that we're now brilliant at, a bit like Guy Mowbray and Lawro. Lawro used to have a moustache, like Magnum PI, who was played by Tom Selleck. Tom Selleck was also in 'Three Men And A Baby' with Steve Guttenberg from 'Police Academy'. The police are in charge of making the world safe and policing the streets, which links to The Streets and 'Don't Mug Yourself'.

Dave's tactful "people who suffer from certain things" comment refers of course to cystitis, but assuming he knew that, a technically seamless link.

Chad Jackson, Hear The Drummer (Get Wicked)

Today's Transcript:

The Streets' Mike Skinner shares the same surname as Frank Skinner, who, along with David Baddiel, wrote 'Three Lions' fourteen years ago. Fourteen is double seven and half of 28, which is the date today, the 28th of June. June is a name, like June Whitfield, who's an actress who has starred in lots of things over the years. 'Years' rhymes with 'tears', which there must have been lots of yesterday during England's hapless display against Germany. Germany now go on to face Argentina, who look great going forward, with Carlos Tevez and Lionel Messi. Lionel Messi shares the same surname, albeit spelt differently, as Mr Messy, who is one of the Mr Men along with Mr Bump and Mr Tickle. Tickle, first name Jon, was on 'Big Brother' many years ago. The word 'ago' is an anagram of 'Goa', which is the name of the smallest state in India. India is a country that's good at cricket, a bit like Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia. Australia is somewhere that they like to have short names for men, like 'Shane', 'Brett', 'Brad' or 'Chad'. If you combine the first name Chad with the surname Jackson you get Chad Jackson, which links to Chad Jackson and 'Hear The Drummer (Get Wicked)'.

Flaws:

I'm not sure how much evidence Dave has that men in Australia have short names, but again, technically fault-free.

Beverley Knight, Come As You Are

Today's Transcript:

'Wicked' is a word that could be used to describe the evil stepmother in the story of Cinderella. Cinderella ended up marrying a handsome prince and living happily ever after. 'After All This Time' was a top 16 hit in 2006 for Simon Webbe, who used to be in Blue. Blue is how Ashley Cole and Leslie King don't look on the front pages of some of the nation's tabloids this morning. 'This Morning' is the name of a programme that is hosted by Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Holly is a type of plant or shrub or something that you associate with Christmas. Christmas is a time for giving, and apparently it's always better to give than to receive. Receive is what you do with guests or with post that has just arrived in your postbox. Your postbox is where the postman will put your letters or maybe an invite to a birthday party. Birthday parties sometimes have a dress code where you have to look smart, but then sometimes you can just wear anything and the person whose party it is might say something like 'come as you are',which links to Beverley Knight and 'Come As You Are'.

Foo Fighters, Breakout

Today's Transcript:

'Come As You Are' was also the title of a big record for Nirvana, who were formed in the US city of Seattle. Seattle is somewhere where they drink a lot of coffee. Coffee is made from coffee beans, which grow in places like Costa Rica, Kenya and Brazil. Brazil played the Netherlands on Friday in the first of the World Cup quarter-finals. A quarter is represented in the world of fractions as one over four. Four is the amount of people you can fit comfortably in a standard car for a long journey. Journey is the name of the band who originally did 'Don't Stop Believin'' before it became a mega-hit thanks to 'Glee'. If you swap the 'L' in 'Glee' for an 'H' you get 'ghee', which is a type of clarified butter used extensively in Indian cookery. Indian cookery is much more than just chicken korma and chips. Chips are made from potatoes, which grow in the ground and then need to be picked. Other things that grow and need to be picked are apples, bananas, pears or maybe carrots. Carrots help you see in the dark, and the ability to see in the dark would be a great help if you were attempting to escape from prison at night in what would be termed a breakout, which links to Foo Fighters and 'Breakout'.

Indian cooking is not chips at all...but otherwise seamless.

Underworld, Born Slippy

Today's Transcript:

The term 'foo fighters' was used by the American government years ago, I think, and referred to UFOs and other suchlike from space. Space is the final frontier and an area that we still know precious little about. 'About A Boy' was a film starring Hugh Grant, the soundtrack to which was done by Badly Drawn Boy. 'Boy' was the title of an early album by U2. U2 were meant to headline Glastonbury this year but had to pull out cos of Bono's bad back, however, The Edge ended up joining Muse onstage for a renditionh of 'Where The Streets Have No Name'. 'Where The Streets Have No Name' is a track taken from their classic album 'The Joshua Tree'. The plural of 'tree' is 'trees', which collectively can be termed a wood, a forest or even a copse. Cops are what the Americans call policemen, who, unlike our bobbies over here, tend to carry guns. Guns is also slang term for muscles, as in 'check out the guns' or 'excuse me sir, can I have two tickets to the gun show'. 'Show Me Heaven' was a big hit for Maria McKee, taken from the soundtrack to 'Days Of Thunder' in 1990. Today's Transcript:

Slippy is how you might describe the tiles around a swimming pool, which is why you should never, ever run. 'Run' is the title of a track by Snow Patrol that was covered by Leona Lewis. Leona Lewis shares one name in common with Lewis Hamilton, who we met, along with Jensen Button, in a pub in Surrey on Friday afternoon. The word 'afternoon' literally means 'after noon', ie after midday, which is everything from lunchtime through to teatime. Time flies when you're having fun, and when you're not having fun it drags. Drags is what you need to do to a wakeboard in the sport of wakeboarding. Wakeboarding is the sport of choice at Wakestock, which took place this weekend and was hosted by Tom Deacon and Huw Stevens. Huw Stevens shares one name in common with Huw Edwards, who is also Welsh and is a journalist on the telly who does some news. U2, Where The Streets Have No Name

Today's Transcript:

The Prodigy are big fans of secret underground tunnels, and actually used a secret underground tunnel in the 'Firestarter' video. If someone was a firestarter they'd be an arsonist, and this is bad and should get you arrested. Arrested Development was the name of an American hip-hop collective who had mega-hits with 'Mr Wendal' and 'Tennessee'. Tennessee is an American state that has many towns in it, one of the most famous being Nashville, which is regarded by many as being the home of Country and Western music. Country and Western music is the choice of most farmers and people who work in gas stations across the American Midwest. West, first name Kanye, had a big hit a few years back entitled 'Golddigger', which he recorded with actor Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx shares the same surname as Samantha Fox and Dr Fox, neither of whom are actually doctors. Doctors tend to have very clean hands and hang out with nurses in hospitals. Hospitals are where Bono must have been a few times lately as a result of his bad back, which prevented him from performing at Glastonbury. However, The Edge doesn't have a bad back and joined Muse onstage at Glastonbury for a performance of 'Where The Streets Have No Name', which links to U2 and 'Where The Streets Have No Name'.

Warren G & Nate Dogg, Regulate

Today's Transcript:

If you lived in a place where the streets had no name, it would be a nightmare if you worked as a postman. The most famous postman in the world is undoubtedly Postman Pat, who drives a little red van and has a black and white cat called Jess. Jess, first name Ian, used to play for Coventry, Bradford and Forest, and is now working as a coach. A coach of a different type is like a large bus that you might use for a school trip or even an overland holiday to Lake Garda. Lake Garda is in Italy, as is Rome, which has a coliseum and is the capital. capital is a word that's also associated with letters in the alphabet, whereby capital letters are the big ones, as opposed to the others which are little ones. If you add a 'B' to the front of 'ones' you get 'bones', which are what make up your skeleton. A skeleton is something you wouldn't want in your closet, as it would be scary and would also cut down on your hanging space. Space of a different type is what you are looking out for in a car park when you go shopping. Car parks have lifts, and if you wanted to go to the ground floor you'd have to press the button marked 'G'. New Order, True Faith

Today's Transcript:

Regulate is what you have to do with your intake of fatty foods and cholesterol if you're to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. 'Diet' is an anagram of 'tied', which is what a ferry should be while it's in port, to prevent it from floating away from the pier or jetty. 'Jetty' rhymes with 'Betty', which is an abbreviation of Elizabeth, one of the longest names in the world in terms of the amount of letters. Letters are what get delivered through your door in the form of post. 'Post' rhymes with 'toast', which is what I have pretty much every day for breakfast, granary toast with butter and marmalade. Marmalade is made from oranges, in fact it's essentially orange jam, but for some reason jam made from oranges is never called orange jam, and instead has its own special name of marmalade, which sets it apart from other fruit-based preserves. Preserve is what ice does to food, which is why stuff lasts longer in your freezer than in the boot of your car. Carr, first name Jimmy, is no relation to Alan, even though they both ply their trade telling jokes on the comedy circuit. A circuit of a different type is what Formula 1 drivers race around, such as Silverstone for the British Grand Prix this Sunday. If there was a big Grand Prix pile-up on one of the corners and loads of drivers got overtaken it would create a new order, which links to New Order and 'True Faith'.

Kylie Minogue, Shocked

Today's Transcript:

If you remove the word 'true' from 'True Faith' you're left with just 'Faith', which was a big hit for George Michael. George Michael used to be in Wham! with Andrew Ridgeley, who now just races cars or something. 'Chasing Cars' was a big hit for Snow Patrol, who are fronted by Gary Lightbody. A light body is definitely a big advantage if you're a jockey like Frankie Dettori. Frankie Dettori is from Italy, like Gino DiCampo, who's a chef and can make his own pasta. Pasta is a good thing to eat before you do a long run, like the London Marathon. Marathon was the old name for Snickers, which is now advertised by Mr T from 'The A Team'. There's no 'I' in 'team', but there is an 'M', an 'E', an 'A' and a 'T'. 'MEAT' spells 'meat', which is what you might put on a barbecue. The plural of 'barbecue' is 'barbecues', which are a popular way of cooking in Australia. The Shamen, Move Any Mountain

Today's Transcript:

Shocked is what you'd be if you came home to find an elephant had broken into your house and was sitting on your sofa having his tea and watching 'Coronation Street'. 'Coronation Street' is filmed in Manchester and has given us classic characters like Ken and Deidre Barlow. Ken and Deidre Barlow share the same surname as Gary Barlow from Take That, who last year organised the Comic Relief climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, which raised millions. Millions is what Fabio Cappello has earned as England manager for leading the national side to an abject failure in South Africa. South Africa is where Nelson Mandela is from, who comes across as being a very nice man. 'Man O Man' was the name of a dating show years ago hosted by Chris Tarrant, which had much in common with with Paddy McGuinness' ITV show 'Take Me Out'. 'Take Me Out' was also the title of a big hit for Franz Ferdinand, who are from Scotland and are named after Archduke Franz Ferdinand, who's not around anymore but was from Austria. Austria is somewhere where they speak a lot of German, and in that respect share something in common with Germany. Germany is somewhere where they have lots of mountains, and if you wanted to move a mountain you might instruct somebody with a very large JCB to 'move any mountain', which links to The Shamen and 'Move Any Mountain'.

Watertight once again.

Today's Tedious Link:

Blink 182, All The Small Things

Today's Transcript:

The Shamen were actually formed in Aberdeen, which is known as being the granite city. Granite is a type of natural rock, which is a good material for making posh kitchen worktops. 'Tops' rhymes with 'cops', who are often trying to catch robbers. 'Robbers' sounds a bit like 'rubbers', which are what you might keep in your pencil case at school. School is where you learn most of the things you need in everyday life, except algebra, which nobody really understands the point of. It's rude to point, and it's also rude to whisper behind someone's back. 'Back In Black' is the title of a classic record from AC/Dc, who are responsible for the 'Iron Man II' soundtrack. The plural of 'track' is 'tracks', which are crucial in the world of train travel. If you move the 'T' from 'travel' and replace it with a 'G' you get 'gravel', which is what big mansions sometimes have on their drives. Drive is what The Stig does every week on 'Top Gear', and some of the supercars on 'Top Gear' can reach a speed of 182 which is so fast that if you were to blink you'd miss it, which links to Blink 182 and 'All The Small Things'.

Flaws:

I'm sure there is a point to algebra, but otherwise seamless.

Today's Tedious Link:

The Rebel MC and Double Trouble, Street Tuff

Today's Transcript:

Blink is what you might have to do if you had grit in your eye or a problem with your contact lens. Contact is what you would miss, I reckon, if you were a hermit. If you swap the first letter of 'hermit' for a 'K' you get 'kermit', which is a good name for a frog. The plural of 'frog' is 'frogs', whose legs are considered to be a delicacy in France. France had a very disappointing campaign at the World Cup, and in that respect share something in common with England and Italy. England and Italy are two countries where you're likely to see pizza and pasta on the menu in a lot of places. A lot of places are visited by Westwood every week in his soon to be award-winning 'Where Am I' feature, which is slowly turning him into a hip-hop travelogue-dog. Hip-hop originated on the streets of New York by early pioneers like the Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash. Flash does the hard work so you don't have to, and Flash was also the name of a bassett hound in 'Dukes of Hazzard'. Hazard, or more specifically attention, on the streets of Germany would be indicated by the word 'achtung', and when you think of the streets of Germany which can be quite tough or even street tough, you think of the Rebel MC, which links to Rebel MC and Double Trouble and 'Street Tuff'.

Flaws:

The word 'hazard' would most likely be indicated in Germany by 'gefahr', not 'achtung'.

Today's Tedious Link:

The Charlatans, North Country Boy

Today's Transcript:

Double trouble is what you would be in if you upset a pair of twins. 'Twins' was the title of a movie starring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold Schwarzenegger is originally from Austria but is now a US citizen and Governator of California. 'California Gurls' is a current mega-hit for Katy Perry featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg, who performed at this year's Glastonbury Festival and was joined onstage by Tinie Tempah. Tiny, on the dog scale, is how you might describe a chihauhau. The chihauhau originates in Mexico and is specially bred to be small enough to fit inside a lady's handbag. The plural of 'handbag' is 'handbags', and 'Handbags and Gladrags' was originally a hit in the sixties but was covered by Stereophonics in 2001. 2001 was the year that England beat Germany 5-1, with Emile Heskey on the score sheet. 'Sheet' is a word that normally comes under the category of bedding, while 'bedding' is a word that can also be associated with plants. The growing of plants and vegetables is something that takes commitment and time. If you remove the last letter of the word 'time' you get 'Tim', as in Tim Burgess who's the lead singer of The Charlatans, which links to The Charlatans and 'North Country Boy'.

Flaws:

Seamless link.

Madonna, Into The Groove

Today's Transcript:

Charlatans are the sort of people who might tell you your fortune with the use of a crystal ball. Ball, first name Zoe, is the wife of Norman Cook. Cook is something that Anthony Worrall Thompson does very well. Well is how you might want your steak done if you don't want it bloody. A Bloody Mary is a drink consisting primarily of vodka and tomato juice. Deuce, albeit spelled differently, is a draw-style points situation in the game of tennis. Tennis is the sport of choice at Wimbledon each year, with many people perched upon Henman Hill. Hill, first name Damon, is a famous former racing driver who used to have quite long hair. Hair is what you would cut if you were a hairdresser like Nicky Clarke. Nicky Clarke shares one name in common with Clark Kent, who is also known as Superman. Superman tended to operate mainly in the United States of America, I think, which has many big cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit and of course New York. Detroit and New York are two major stops on the Madonna life tour, as it was Detroit where she was born and New York that she first moved to as a young artist, which links to Madonna and 'Into The Groove'.

Flaws:

Watertight once again.

Snap, The Power

Today's Transcript:

Into the groove is where you might slide a piece of hardwood flooring if you were connecting it to another piece of hardwood flooring if you were fitting yourself a new floor all by yourself. 'All By Myself' was originally a hit for Eric Carmen but was covered, twenty or so years later, by Celine Dion. Celine Dion shares one name in common with Dion Dublin, who used to play for Leicester, Villa and Coventry, to name but three of his former clubs. Clubs is a suit in a deck of cards, and cards, or rather card tricks, are a speciality for magicians like Penn and Teller. Penn and Teller have appeared on 'The Simpsons', which is something they share in common with the likes of Simon Cowell, David Beckham and Ricky Gervais. Ricky Gervais was on Greg's show this week, along with Karl Pilkington and Stephen Merchant. 'Merchant Of Venice' is the title of a famous play written by William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare used to live in Stratford upon Avon, which is a nice place to visit and maybe enjoy a boat trip on the river. A river is something that's liable to flood. A flood in your home or office can be very disruptive and dangerous, and if you discover a flood one of the first things you should do is switch off the power, which links to Snap and 'The Power'.

Flaws:

Nothing to report.
