Today's Tedious Link:

Shaggy, Boombastic

Today's Transcript:

'The Power' is what darts legend Phil 'The Power' Taylor uses as his walk-on music. 'Music' was the title of a big hit a few years ago for Madonna. Madonna used to be married to Guy Ritchie, who directed 'Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels', which starred Vinnie Jones. Vinnie Jones was in the last series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' along with Basshunter and Dane Bowers. 'Bowers' rhymes with 'showers', which are what you have for players in a changing room after a match. A match of a different type is what you might use to light a candle. When lighting candles it's important to only light one end and not try to burn the candle at both ends. Both ends covers both deep and shallow in the world of swimming pools. Swimming pools are something that rock stars like to drive cars into. Cars drive on the left hand side of the road in this country, while in Europe and America they drive on the right. 'Right Here Right Now' was a big hit for Fatboy Slim in the year 1999. If you rewind four years from 1999 you get to 1995, which was the year that Shaggy scored a number one hit with 'Mr Boombastic', which links to Shaggy and 'Mr Boombastic'.

Flaws:

Apart from getting the title of the track wrong (no 'Mr'), a seamless link.

Texas, Halo

Today's Transcript:

'Shaggy is a bit of a lover lover man, and also used to be in the US Army. The word 'army' is a perfect anagram of 'Mary', who is Jesus' mum in the Bible, and was married to Joseph the carpenter. A carpenter is someone who makes stuff out of wood. Wood, first name Ronnie, is one of the Rolling Stones, and has now split up with Jo Wood who was on 'Strictly', and had the affair with the Kazakhstani girl who was on 'Celebrity Big Brother' who had a bit of a thing with Basshunter, who's from Sweden but now lives in Magaluf apparently, which is in Majorca. Majorca is where Dom had to drive back from earlier this year when there was all that palaver with the volcanic ash from Iceland. Iceland used to have links with Kerry Katona, who's now in the papers every day after her split with Mark. Mark is what schoolteachers have to do in the evenings with their pupils' homework, and give them different grades like 'A', 'C' or 'B'. 'B' is the first letter of the name 'Beyonce', as in Beyonce Knowles, who's from Houston. Houston is in the state of Texas, which links to Texas and 'Halo'.

Flaws:

Shaggy was not in the Army, he was in fact a Marine. Also, the 'Kazakhstani girl' Dave referred to is Ekaterina "Katia" Ivanova.

SL2, On A Ragga Tip

Today's Transcript:

A halo is something that you might see floating above the head of an angel. An angel is what you might feel you have sitting on one of your shoulders sometimes, while on the other shoulder there could be a devil. The word 'devil' is a reverse anagram of the word 'lived'. 'Lived' is the past tense of the verb 'to live'. 'Live And Let Die' was a big hit for Paul McCartney and Wings, and has been covered by all sorts of people including Guns N' Roses. Guns N' Roses were formed in Los Angeles, which is where Tom Jones now spends most of his time. Yesterday we went for a pint with Tom Jones, we probably mentioned that earlier. 'Ready For The Weekend' was a big hit for Calvin Harris, in which he talks about buttering his shoes. Shoes is something you must go through a lot of if you're a postman, as you end up walking lots of miles. If you were a postman in the town of Slough you'd have to be familiar with all the postcode, such as SL1, SL4 and maybe even SL2, which links to SL2 and 'On A Ragga Tip'.

Flaws:

'Lived' is actually a palindrome of 'devil', rather than just an anagram. There also seems to be a complete non-sequitur in this link, in which Dave goes from their pint with Tom Jones to 'Ready For The Weekend', but it's possible there was just a blip in my download.

Pearl Jam, Alive

Today's Transcript:

On a ragga tip is presumably where SL2 get rid of all their household waste, cardboard and glass bottles. Bottles can be dangerous, especially if they smash, which is why you should always wear shoes if you're working in a pub. If you swap the first letter of 'pub' for a 'C' you get 'cub', which is the term for a baby lion or tiger. Tiger Woods is good at playing golf, and made his long-awaited return to the sport recently at the Open at St Andrews'. 'Andrew's' is what might be written on the milk in the communal fridge at Pineapple Dance Studios, so that Andrew Stone doesn't have anybody pinching his semi-skimmed. 'Skimmed' is the past tense of the verb 'to skim', which is what you might do with a smooth stone on a glassy lake. Lake, first name Ricki, is an American talk show host who gets all sorts of low-life entertainment on her stage, a bit like Jeremy Kyle. 'Kyle' rhymes with 'style', which is something that Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen considers himself to have a lot of, along with copious quantities of luxurious hair and ruffly shirts. Shirts tend to be worn by men, while skirts tend to be worn by women. Statistically, women are better than men at making jams and chutneys and stuff, and if you had a jam that was made out of crushed pearls it would no doubt be called pearl jam, which links to Pearl Jam and 'Alive'.

Flaws:

Faithless, We Come 1

Today's Transcript:

'Alive' was a film from years ago about a South African rugby team who were on a plane that crashed into the Andes and then they had to eat each other to survive. Survive is what you'd hope to do if you were attacked by a massive elephant or a herd of pirahna fish. Fish are rich in omega-3 and essential oils and stuff, which are apparently good for the brain. The brain is a very important organ which is crucial for thinking and for performing most human functions. Functions of a different type are what they might have a lot of at a posh hotel or conference centre. 'Centre' is a word associated with shopping or the Earth's core. 'Cor blimey' is what * like to say to indicate the fact that they're surprised. A surprise is something you're not expecting. 'Expecting' is a word associated with pregnant ladies. 'Ladies' is one of two toilet door options in most public conveniences, the other one being 'gents'. If you remove the last letter of 'gents' you get 'Gent', which is a place in Belgium. Belgium is somewhere that Faithless must have played over the years, which links to Faithless and 'We Come 1'.

Flaws:

A group of pirahna isn't called a herd. Also, I suspect that Dave was merely guessing that Faithless have played in Belgium.

The Bloodhound Gang, The Bad Touch

Today's Transcript:

Faithless are fronted by Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss, but also have a bloke called Rollo, who's the brother of equally oddly-named singer Dido. If you add an 'L' to 'Dido' in place of the first letter you get 'lido', which is a kind of swimming pool. 'Swimming pool' translated into French is 'piscine', while the French word for horse is 'cheval', which shouldn't be mistaken for 'cheveux' which means 'hair'. Hair is what you might wash when you're in the bath. Bath the city is a beautiful place full of Georgian architecture. Architecture is done by architects, and is basically the designing and drawing of buildings and stuff, which is why it's always baffled me that you have to study for seven years at university, which is the same amount of time that you have to study to become a doctor or a vet. Yvette Fielding believes in ghosts and paranormal activity and likes to investigate scary stuff in haunted houses with her husband Kung Fu Carl. Kung fu is a martial art featured in the 'Karate Kid' movie starring Jackie Chan and Will Smith's lad, but they couldn't call it 'Kung Fu Kid' cos it might have sounded a bit too much like 'Kung Fu Panda'. Panda cars are used by the police, as are bloodhounds which are used to sniff out criminal gangs, which links to The Bloodhound Gang and 'The Bad Touch'.

Flaws:

The reason it takes seven years to become an architect is that you don't study nonstop, in fact you need to complete two years' worth of paid professional experience as well as an undergraduate and postgraduate degree.

Take That, Back For Good

Today's Transcript:

A bad touch is what you might say about a footballer if he has bad ball control and is poor. Poor is the opposite of rich, while rich is a common abbreviation of the name Richard, as are Ricky, Dick and Dicky. A dicky bow is something you might wear for a special function. 'Function' rhymes with 'junction', which is the best place to join or exit a busy motorway. The plural of 'motorway' is 'motorways', and these are assigned numbers based on the routes of the old A-roads, which largely follow a clock-face order originating in London. London is a big city with lots of tourist attractions, such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and Big Ben. Big Ben is also the name of the singer guy from Phats & Small, and was, and possibly still is, the other half of Vanessa Feltz. Vanessa Feltz once enjoyed a teenage holiday kiss with our very own Pete Tong. Pete Tong supports Arsenal, who drew one-all with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. Liverpool are the team of choice for Gary Barlow of Take That, which links to Take That and 'Back For Good'.

Flaws:

According to wikipedia Vanessa Feltz is still dating Ben Ofoedu aka Big Ben of Phats & Small, so seamless today.

Salt 'N' Pepa, Push It

Today's Transcript:

Back is a type of bacon which I actually prefer to streaky, which has a bit toomuch fat. 'The Fat of The Land' is the title of a classic album by The Prodigy. The Prodigy are from Essex, which is the same county that gave us Olly Muirs and Stacey Solomon. Solomon was, I think, the name of one of the characters in the Bible. The Bible is a book that can be found, almost always, in hotel rooms in every country in the world. 'The World Is Not Enough' is the title of a James Bond film starring Pierce Brosnan, who is to this day one of our best ever 'Guess Who's. 'Whos' rhymes with 'shoes', which are what Chris thinks he still has to buy for Aled as part of some weird bet. A bet is something you might place with a bookmaker if you were going to watch horseracing. Horseracing takes place all around the country at places like Chepstow, Uttoxeter and York. If you owned a horse you'd take it to the races in a horsebox, which you have to tow with your car. If you came out of the races and found out you'd left your lights on and had a flat battery you might have to get some of your mates to push it, which links to Salt 'n' Pepa and 'Push It'.

Flaws:

Solomon was indeed a character in the Bible, but many countries don't have Bibles in their hotel rooms, and the tradition is becoming less commonplace even in America where it started.

Nelly, (Hot S**t) Country Grammar

Today's Transcript:

Salt and pepper are probably the world's most popular table condiments, and are both used extensively in most types of cooking as well. A well is something you wouldn't want to fall into, as it'd be very difficult to get out and escape. People who are good at escaping are said to be good at escapology. 'Escapology' was the title of a 2002 album by Robbie Williams, who along with Gary Barlow will be live on this show on Thursday morning, just after 7.30am. 'AM' are the initials of Andrew Marr, who is one of the BBC's top political experts, and also a big fan of the Foo Fighters. The Foo Fighters are fronted by Dave Grohl, who has long black hair, as do cher and Ozzy Osbourne. If you put an 'F' on the front of 'Ozzy' you get 'Fozzy', as in Fozzy Bear, who was one of the stars of 'The Muppet Show'. 'The Muppet Show' was the brainchild of Jim Henson, who shares the same surname as Gavin Henson, who plays rugby for Ospreys, who are based in Swansea. Swansea is where Aled was famously shot twice. 'Twice' rhymes with 'mice', which are very small creatures, but very scary if you're an elephant. One of the most popular names for an elephant is Nelly, which links to Nelly and 'Country Grammar'.

Flaws:

Aled was keen to point out that he was shot at in Swansea, not actually shot.

S Club 7, Don't Stop Movin'

Today's Transcript:

Nelly shares the same first name as Nelly Furtado, who has had several hits and is big mates with Timbaland. Timbaland seems to like the limelight quite a lot, which is why you always see him dancing in the videos for the tracks he produces for other artists. Artists is a general term which can include musical performers as well as painters. Painters might use an easel and keep their paints in a palette. A pallet of a different type is what you might see loaded with goods on the back of a lorry. Laurie Sanchez is a former Wimbledon player who's also managed Northern Ireland and Fulham. Fulham play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Cottage pie is like shepherd's pie, except instead of lamb for the meaty bit it uses beef. Beef is never found on the menu in an Indian restaurant, however you will normally find chicken, king prawn and lamb. lamb is also normally used to make Irish stew. Stew is nice to eat when the weather gets cold, and if you're really freezing and need to keep warm it's always a good idea if you don't stop moving, which links to S Club 7 and 'Don't Stop Movin''.

Flaws:

I checked the menus of two of my local Indian restaurants (on the 'Curry Mile' in Manchester) and they both served beef.

Leftfield Lydon, Open Up

Today's Transcript:

S Club 7 used to be made up of seven members, but now I think there's only about three of them still trading as S Club. 'Club' is a word associated with golf, but also associated with late-night drinking and dancing. 'Dancing in the Moonlight' was a big hit for the band Toploader, who are from Eastbourne, which is on the South coast of England and is popular with old folk, who go there to retire. Retire is what people do when they decide to pack in their work. 'Work' is a song title that links The Saturdays and Kelly Rowland. Kelly Rowland has recently worked with superstar DJ David Guetta. 'Guetta' rhymes with 'wetter', which is what you'd get if you went on the log flume loads of times in a row. Row a boat is what Steve Redgrave did to get all his medals. 'Medals' rhymes with 'pedals', which are what you need on a bicycle to make it go. 'o' was a big hit years ago for Moby, who looks a lot likeour executive producer Piers Bradford. If you were a policeman in Bradford and were knocking on the door of a baddy, you might say "open up", which links to Leftfield and 'Open Up'.

Flaws:

Guns N' Roses, Paradise City

Today's Transcript:

Leftfield's 'Open Up' features the vocals of John Lydon, who also fronted the Sex Pistols. Pistols are used in the field of athletics for the purpose of starting a race. 'The Race' was a big hit for Yello, who are from Switzerland, which is a very beautiful country and somewhere that both Phil Collins and Lewis Hamilton spend a lot of their time. Time flies when you're having fun. 'Fun' rhymes with 'sun', which looks a long way from where we are right now. 'Right Here Right Now' was a big hit for Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Quentin, like Quentin Wilson who does lots of TV programmes and newspaper articles about cars. Cars are also the main passion of Jeremy Clarkson, who presents 'Top Gear' with James May and Richard Hammond. Hammond is a type of organ, while the word 'organ' is also used to describe the important bits in your body. The plural of 'body' is 'bodies', which was the title of the last big single by Robbie Williams. Robbie Williams is back with his old band now, and in that respect shares something in common with Axl Rose, who plays the Reading and Leeds festivals with Guns N' Roses this weekend, which links to Guns N' Roses and 'Paradise City'.

Flaws:

Robbie Williams' reuniting with Take That gives him nothing in common with Axl at all. Axl still owns the Guns N' Roses name and tours with a band under that name, but the band contains none of the original line-up - Axl is still feuding with most of them. (In a conversation about the line-up after the Link Dave said that he thought Izzy Stradlin was still with the band, but in fact he just rejoined them for their 2006 tour, and isn't on the current tour.)

C&C Music Factory, Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)

Today's Transcript:

Guns N' Roses ended up having to shorten their sets at Reading and Leeds this weekend after Axl Rose was late going onstage. 'Stage' rhymes with 'page', which is where you'd see words written in a book. The plural of 'book' is 'books', which you'd find a lot of in a library. A library is somewhere that you should try to keep quiet, and in that respect shares something in common with church. Church, first name Charlotte, is someone who isn't normally quiet, although she does have the voice of an angel and is from Wales. Wales is somewhere that you have to pay to get into if you enter via the Severn Bridge. Bridge, first nane Wayne, plays for Manchester City and fell out with John Terry after an incident involving his ex-missus. Misses don't come much worse than that by Carlos Tevez at Sunderland on Saturday. Saturday is the second-best day of the week in my opinion, after the best which is Friday. 'Friday I'm In Love' was a big hit in 1992 for The Cure. Cure is what you sometimes do with bacon, while bacon, like pork and beef, is a meat. If you remove the first letter of 'meat' and add an 'S' and a 'W' you get the word 'sweat', which links to C&C Music Factory and 'Gonna Make You Sweat'.

Manchester City played Sunderland on Sunday, not Saturday.

East 17, House of Love

Today's Transcript:

Sweat is what horses do when they're hot, unlike ladies, who perspire. If you remove the first three letters of 'perspire' you're left with 'spire', which is what you find on top of a church or cathedral, and in the case of Chesterfield it's famously crooked. Crooked is what your nose would look like if you'd done too much boxing or played too much rugby. Rugby is the sport that you'd associate with Austin Healey and Matt Dawson, who is one of the team captains on 'A Question Of Sport'. If you remove the first letter of 'sport' you get 'port', which comes from Portugal, like Jose Mourinho. Jose Mourinho used to manage Chelsea and Inter Milan and is now in charge at Real Madrid. Madrid is the capital of Spain, which is a nice place to go on holiday. 'Holiday' is a song title that links Madonna with Green Day. Green day, in the world of wheelie bins, might be when you put your garden cuttings out, or it might also be your general house waste, depending on where you live in the country. The word 'country' is often combined with 'Western', which basically means from the West, which is one of four compass directions along with North, South and East. When you think of East in the context of pop bands you think of East 17, which links to East 17 and 'Deep'.

Depeche Mode, Enjoy The Silence

Today's Transcript:

East 17 are literally from East 17, which is the East London postcode of Walthamstow, which used to be big for fans of dog racing. Dog racing features on the cover of the classic 'Parklife' album by Blur. Blur last summer played gigs at London's Hyde Park, and in that respect share something in common with Foo Fighters, who played there a couple of years earlier. Earlier is the opposite of later, while 'Later' is the name of the programme that's presented by Jools Holland. Jools Holland is one of the celebrities in Dominic's arsenal of impressions, along with Ronnie Corbett and Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela shares one name in common with Trevor Nelson, who supports Chelsea. Chelsea's Frank Lampard has been ruled out of tomorrow night's Euro qualifier against Bulgaria because of a problem with his groin. A groyne of a different type is what you might find on a British beach. A British beach is also somewhere that you'd find a pier and donkeys. Donkeys are known for their tolerance for carrying weight, which is why they're used for carrying stuff in certain parts of the world, like France. In France they speak French, and if you think of an English band with a French name you think of Depeche Mode, which links to Depeche Mode and 'Enjoy The Silence'.

Flaws:

Today's Transcript:

Depeche Mode are from Essex, like The Prodigy, and tonight Zane Lowe presents a Prodigy special in 'Radio 1 Stories'. Stories are nice to read before you go to bed. The word 'bed' in French is 'lit', which is spelled LIT. A lit firework is something you should never approach or return to. Return is a type of ticket option and normally cheaper than buying two singles in the world of air or rail travel. 'Travelling Without Moving' is the title of a classic album by Jamiroquai, who was in with us last week. A week is made up of five working days and two play days, which make up a total of seven days. 'Seven Days' was the title of a big hit for Craig David in the year 2000, which was the featured year in a programme last Saturday night with Rufus Hound. A hound is another word for a dog, and dogs aren't allowed in a lot of places, unless they are guide dogs. Guide dogs are highly trained animals, like stunt dogs and animal actors. They Might Be Giants, Birdhouse In Your Soul

Today's Transcript:

'Rock Star' features the vocals of Pharrell Williams who's big mates with Snoop Doggy Dogg. Snoop Dogg performed at Glastonbury in June and was joined onstage by the man that we first discovered playing in the Red Lion in Lewisham, Tinie Tempah. Temper can be bad, and this is something that needs to be controlled, possibly with professional help. 'Help!' was the title of a big hit for The Beatles. Beetles are a bit like * in that they're small and nobody really likes them. If you swap the 'H' in 'them' for a 'W' you get 'Twem', which is the name of those Parisian twins who appeared on Saturday night on 'X-Factor'. 'X-Factor' is presented by Dermot O'Leary, while 'Xtra Factor' is presented by Konnie Huq. Konnie Huq is rumoured to have married Charlie Brooker recently in Las Vegas. Vegas, first name Johnny, is a comedian from St Helens. St Helens is a big rugby league town which has a strong sporting rivalry with Wigan. Wigan beat Warrington to win the Challenge Cup in the year 1990. 1990 was the year that They Might Be Giants released 'Birdhouse In Your Soul', which links to They Might Be Giants and 'Birdhouse In Your Soul'.

Moby, Go

Today's Transcript:

After their big hit with 'Birdhouse In Your Soul' They Might Be Giants went on to record all sorts of stuff for telly, including the theme for 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse' and 'The Hot Dog Song'. The plural of 'hot dog' is 'hot dogs', which are what you might have as a snack at an American sporting event like basketball or baseball. Baseball is essentially just rounders with special uniforms. Uniforms are commonly worn by people who work in positions of authority, like the police or traffic wardens. Traffic wardens get lots of stick when they're doing their job of putting parking tickets on cars. Cars are a source of co2, which most people know better as carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is what trees breathe in, and they give out oxygen, which is good for the planet. In terms of planet sizes, Uranus is bigger than Earth. Earth is where we live. 'Live And Let Die' was a big hit for Paul McCartney's band Wings, which was actually a trio, a bit like Destiny's Child became. 'Child' was the title of Mark Owen's first solo top 5 hit, and number 5 is the best chart position ever achieved by Moby, which links to Moby and 'Go'.

Flaws:

A discussion followed as to how trees breathe. Aled claimed that they actually breathe in oxygen, rather than the opposite as Dave said. Dave confessed to not being entirely sure; the answer is in fact that whilst plants do give out carbon dioxide and absorb oxygen from the air that surrounds them just as animal tissues do, they also photosynthesize in the presence of sunlight, which is when carbon dioxide is absorbed and oxygen is produced. Also, the main differences between baseball and rounders are that: a rounders bat is much shorter and is usually swung one-handed; misses (or strikes) are not called, so there are no walks or strike-outs; the layout of the pitch is different, especially the location of home base; and in rounders, bowlers pitch with an underarm pendulum action (as in softball).

Backstreet Boys, I Want It That Way

Today's Transcript:

Go, in the world of traffic lights, is represented by the colour green, as opposed to stop which uses the colour red. Red is also the colour you'd associate with postboxes, danger and strawberries. Strawberries are nice with cream, although some people eat them with black pepper. Pepper And Piano is the name of one of the acts on 'Must Be The Music', which has our guest today, Dizzee Rascal, as one of the judges. Judges traditionally wear a wig, and in that respect share something in common with Elton John. Elton John was actually born Reginald Dwight and used to be chairman of Watford FC. Watford play their home matches at Vicarage Road, which they ground-share with rugby club Saracens. Saracens is a word that was first used by the ancient Romans, who were responsible for inventing and creating lots of things. Lots of things are what you realise you have when you're moving house. If you were in a new house and arranging furniture and stuff, you might decide that you like your furniture in a particular position and would say to whoever was helping you "I want it that way", which links to Backstreet Boys and 'I Want It That Way'.

Backstreet Boys were massive in the mid-90s, and were, I suppose, the American equivalent of Take That. Take That's Gary Barlow has teamed up with Robbie Williams on their current single, entitled 'Shame'. If you swap the 'M' in 'shame' for 'N' you get 'Shane', which is a popular boys' name in Australia. 'Australia' was a big hit years ago for the Manic Street Preachers. 'Preachers' rhymes with 'teachers', who are in charge of educating our children, who are, of course, our future. The future is all about stuff that's forward in time from now, as opposed to history, which is about the past, which in time direction terms is backwards. Backwards is how you sit in the sport of rowing, and can also be a direction of travel in the world of trains, although some people don't like to sit backwards as it makes them feel sick. Some people also get sick with vertigo, which is generally brought on by heights. If you weren't sure how high something was you'd probably ask the question 'how high', which links to The Charlatans and 'How High'.

Flaws:

Watertight link.

Cahill featuring Nikki Belle, Trippin' On You

Today's Transcript:

The Charlatans' Tim Burgess shares the same first name as Tim Westwood, who's a big player in the rap game. In the rap game there is a rapper called The Game, who I think is big mates with 50 Cent, who we once met up with in New York. New York is the city that never sleeps and is also known as the Big Apple. If you had a really big apple you could use it to make the world's biggest ever crumble. 'Crumble' rhymes with 'humble', as in Kate Humble, who presents programmes about wildlife. Wildlife is a general term for animals and birds. Birds have wings and flap them in order to fly. 'Fly Away' was a big hit for Lenny Kravitz, who's from America, like our guest today Will Ferrell. Will Ferrell has played many comedy characters, with probably the best known being Ron Burgundy from 'Anchorman'. Burgundy was, I imagine, the colour that Alex Ferguson's face was at full-time on Saturday, when Man United seemed to be cruising to victory at Goodison before Everton pulled back two late goals in a glorious fight back inspired by Tim Cahill, which links to Cahill and 'Trippin' On You'.

Flaws:

Nothing to report.

Fun Lovin' Criminals, Scooby Snacks

Today's Transcript:

Cahill are named after Tim Cahill, who's from Australia, which is a massive country full of weird animals like possums and dingoes. If you swap the first letter of 'dingo' for a 'B' you get 'bingo', which is what a lot of people play in their leisure time. 'Leisure' rhymes with 'pleasure', which is what you might be receiving if you're enjoying yourself. Yourself is who would be responsible for a hire car if you'd hired it with you as the primary driver. A driver of a different type is what you might have in your golf arsenal if you were attacking the fairways or the greens. Greens are what you should eat a lot of, along with other fruits and vegetables, if you want to grow big and strong. Strong is how I like my tea and my handshakes. Handshakes are a customary way for men to greet each other in the Western world. The Western world is pretty much everything this side of Poland. Poland is where Jerzy Dudek is from, who used to play in goal for Liverpool, who have many celebrity fans including Cilla Black and Jimmy Tarbuck. Liza Tarbuck, who is Jimmy Tarbuck's daughter, hosts 'Pet Nation' on Sky with Huey from the Fun Lovin Criminals, which links to Fun Lovin' Criminals and 'Scooby Snacks'.

Flaws:

Seamless once again.

McAlmont & Butler, Yes

Today's Transcript:

Snacks are a bad thing to eat inbetween meals as they can ruin your appetite. 'Appetite For Destruction; is the title of the first and best album by Guns N' Roses. Roses are red, violets are blue, The Edge and Bono are both in U2. U2 are from Dublin, as are Boyzone and Jedward. Jedward are supported by Louis Walsh who's a big fan. A fan of a different type is what you might find on the ceiling in a hot country to keep cool. 'Cool Runnings' was the title of a classic film about a Jamaican bobsleigh team, starring the late John Candy. Candy is what the Americans call sweets and chocolate. 'Sweet Like Chocolate' was the title of a big hit years ago for Shanks & Bigfoot. A Bigfoot is what you wouldn't want to see when you're skiing, and is also known as a Yeti. 'Yeti' rhymes with 'Hetty', as in Hetty Wainthrop, who investigates. Investigators are what you'd call in to examine a crash scene. 'Seen' is the past tense of the verb 'to see', for example, if someone asked me if I'd seen the new Will Ferrell film I'd say 'yes', which links to McAlmont & Butler and 'Yes'.

Flaws:

Problem-free.

SWV, Right Here

Today's Transcript:

The word 'yes' in German is 'ja', and in French it's 'oui'. Wee of a different type is what you might need if you've been stuck in the car on a long journey. Journey is the name of the band that first recorded 'Don't Stop Believin'', before the likes of Joe McElderry or Glee got their hands on it. Hands are the part of the body that you might try to keep warm with the use of gloves. If you swap the first letter of 'gloves' for a 'C' you get 'cloves', which are what you'll find in the recipe for mulled wine. Mulled wine is a nice thing to drink at Christmas while roasting your chestnuts by an open fire. Fire is what you wouldn't want to hear if you were halfway through placing the targets at a rifle range. Range, first name Heidi, is one of the Sugababes and goes out with Dave Berry. Dave Berry shares the same surname as Halle Berry, who has only been on this show once, a bit like Chris Rock and Drew Barrymore. Drew Barrymore was a child star years ago, as were Macauley Culkin and Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson's 'Human Nature' is sampled on 'Right Here' by SWV, which links to SWV and 'Right Here'.

Flaws:

Another watertight link.

Smashmouth, Allstar

Today's Transcript:

'Right here' is what a driving instructor might say, but if you were taking your driving test in France, he or she would say 'tourner a droite'. If you add 'ET' to 'droite' you get Detroit, which is a city in the US State of Michigan and is home to Kid Rock, Madonna and Eminem. Eminem's current musical offering sees him collaborate with Rihanna. Rihanna is from Barbados, which is an island in the Caribbean. The Caribbean is a part of the world that used to be home to lots of pirates, who plundered ships for gold and treasure. 'Treasure Island' is a famous book written by Robert Louis Stephenson. Robert Louis Stephenson shares the same surname as Pamela Stephenson, who is Billy Connolly's missus, and is also one of the celebrities taking part in this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Dancing is something that Cheryl Cole is very good at. Cheryl Cole suffered from malaria during the filming of 'The X-Factor', which is why on the episodes that are being shown now she was substituted with Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls, who's the girlfriend of Lewis Hamilton from Formula 1. Formula 1 is what Jake Humphreys does, and he has a motor racing licence, which means he can take part in celebrity races for allstars. The singular of 'allstars' is 'allstar',which links to Smashmouth and 'Allstar'.

Flaws:

Adding 'ET' to 'droite' does not make 'Detroit', it makes 'Detroite', which is not a word.
