Today's Tedious Link:
Zoe, Sunshine On A Rainy Day
Today's Transcript:
If you combine the word 'Len' with 'Goodman' you get Len Goodman, who's on 'Strictly Come Dancing'. 'Dancing In The Moonlight' was a hit for Toploader, who sound like they're named after a washing machine. A washing machine takes two people to lift, and would really hurt if it fell on your foot. The plural of 'foot' is 'feet', which rhymes with 'seat', which is what you'd hope to find on the bus. The plural of 'bus' is 'buses', which tend to turn up two at a time, a bit like the animals that Noah put on his ark. Noah's ark was made out of wood. wood, first name Ronnie, used to be in the Small Faces with Rod Stewart. Rod Stewart has a football pitch in his back garden. Gardens need to be mown, otherwise they get overgrown. If you remove the 'R' from 'grown' you get 'gown', which is what a lady might wear to a posh ball. Ball, first name Zoe, lives in Brighton, and Brighton can be really sunny in summer and really rainy in winter. If you had a day where there was rain and then sunshine you might say there was 'sunshine on a rainy day', which links to Zoe and 'Sunshine On A Rainy Day'.
Flaws:
Seamless today.
Tedious Facts:
Released - August 1991
Highest UK Chart Position - #4
Dave has linked to this track four times previously that we know of (we have no records of 2007 or 2008), making it an equal contender for his most-chosen track, alongside N-Trance's 'Set You Free' and Pearl Jam's 'Alive'.
