Aled, again, to me, has more the role of the idiot younger brother who has nothing in common with his siblings but has to be involved in everything despite not really getting what's going on. He talks way too much too - he must talk at least twice as much as Rachel did.
I'm sure some people like him, and I'd stick my head on the line to say it's probably women and younger teenagers who like him, perhaps because his campness, his liking of trash entertainment and his not understanding vital parts of the show (or even things everyone knows, like that nursery rhyme thing) doesn't grate as much as it does me, but as a straight male in my mid-twenties who has grown up with Moyles and Dave on the radio, frankly I have no interest in his life and I think he spoils the show.
Then again, listening figures seem not to care, and as I'm out of the target audience I suppose I don't matter.
With respect, to me, that's absolute nonsense and reeks of someone in denial.
I'm a man, I'm considerably older than you, I despise trash entertainment, I go out binge drinking, womanising, brawling, occassionally I wrestle bears in my spare time, I drive fast, I smoke full strength Marlboro, I have loads of scars, in a former life I was a pirate and I think he's ace.
