43, far too young an age :(

I know the name from my childhood briefly however my Dad certainly remembers her :)

Two oh nos coming up.

Gil Scott-Heron. I wasn't a fan myself, but I know the name through the "tedious link" that his father played for Celtic - the first Black player to do so way back in the early 50s. Sadly, Gil junior has died just three years after Gil senior.

Jeff Conaway. Again, most will know him as Kenickie in Grease, to me he was Zack Allen on Babylon 5. Yeah, I'm a geek.

Oh no, oh no.

Not much of an 'oh no' for being famous but thoughts to the family of Tom Daley - his father has sadly died from cancer.

I only discovered yesterday that the impressionist Janet Brown has died. The name won't mean anything to younger ones, but she was a regular feature of 80s light entertainment TV shows doing her Margaret Thatcher impression. So that gets an 'oh no' from me.

Was Janet Brown the one who worked with Mike Yarwood?

I'm not sure - there was another female impressionist around at the time called (I think) Faith Brown or Faye Brown - she might have been on the Yarwood show. But they were the same kind of era. I always preferred Janet to Faith.
