I don't know if any of you nice people follow Mr George Michael on Twitter, but it's a very interesting read - there are a lot of things you know about people, and a lot of assumptions you make - especially about celebrities. Intentionally or not he manages to challenge them almost every day.

I've copied a bit from earlier today, and it really made me think. Not about the wrongs and wrongs of what he did, but that there realy absolutely was an industry in those scumbag bloodsucking parasites making a living, and a very rich living out of destroying people. It's just shameful.

Unfortunately, the Weeting Enquiry doesnt cover those years after Johnathan Rees was employed by Andy Coulson and the computer hacking began
From a personal point of view, those are the details i'm interested in.
From the very beginning of my self made introduction to the police and the crown prosecution service, my main outrage was not for me
It was that I had been as naive as most of us who find ourselves dealing with the justice system for the first time....i really thought...
The law was the law.
Don't get me wrong, I met (a lot !) of perfectly decent policemen and women in my darkest, most shameful hours, but I knew that .....
The press would get to my house before I did. On every occasion, some little creep in that police station would have called the press....
Cap in hand, and made a nice little wad of cash. I just became resigned to it. Perks of the job in the Met.
But it was the first court trial that blew my mind. Right now I am trying to get together transcripts and other information.
Not because it will make any difference to me. It won't. In fact I can safely say that I am one of the few people amongst the thousands of
News International's targets to have genuinely benefitted from Murdoch's attempts to destroy me.
No, if I decide to say anything about how my first conviction came about, besides the fact that i was an idiot, it will be because....
I love my country, and I believe its judicial system MUST be trustworthy. And I'll leave it at that for now. Have work to do for my lovelies
Sorry, one last thing, I am NOT trying to exonerate myself of anything, I did something bad and got my Karmuppance, as i like to think of it
Its just that the sequence of events between my being arrested and finally convicted for sleeping pills and exhaustion seemed extremely...
Well, lets just call it....illegal. I was going to say odd, but sod it, they seemed at the very least, outside of normal legal procedure :))
These are only my suspicions, but I think that if they hold water, then it's very important that they come to light for everyones sake.
And now, I REALLY have to go to work.
Thanks for listening to me rambling on boyz n girls xxx

For those who feel sorry for people losing their jobs; the paper campaigned for the current government (well, a Tory government anyway, which is effectively what we have) and as a result thousands upon thousands will be made redundant. I feel more sorry for them. Perspective.

Brooks has to go. And Yates. And Murdoch Junior. And Murdoch Senior should be made to sell some of his businesses. The whole thing is a sordid, disgusting affair. I have never bought the News of the World - though that wasn't a conscious decision until around 2000 when they did their vile naming and shaming campaign which resulted in lynch mobs harassing - often innocent - people. The whole organisation is rotten to the core and I don't like the way they're trying to make out it was just the News of the World.

I think the thing that surprises me the most about this story is how surprised the public seem to be at what has happened. It's like people didn't expect newspaper journalists to go to this length to get a "story"?! What planet has everyone been living on? People say it's despicable, of course it is - do we really think this is the "worst case scenario" though? This is a media where "news" is invented, peoples lives are ruined and there would appear to be hardly any regulation of it at all. The sooner everyone wakes up and realises the complete tripe they are consuming, the better. The sooner people learn the definition of "news", the better.

Some papers are worse than others but, for the purposes of my hatred, I class them all together.

Yawn, bored of it now.

It is completely unfair that the BBC is continuing to run this as a lead story every day. They sence the blood of a Murdoch.

Just shut the * up about this, cancel your sky subscription, stop buying the newspapers, and take the wankers to court, but please stop, that the press as Foots said are a bunch of lying arses, out for titilation and mischief, is not * news..... Please stop it BBC, we know they are competition, but the only reason I pay the licence fee with gladness is that you should be able to report NEWS not re-run the same old shite day after day after day after * boring day.

I do not want to see another shot of that stupid * Ginger skinny witch on the TV any more. SHUT UP ABOUT IT NOW!!!!!!!!

But it IS news. That it's happened is not surprising, I agree with foot-loose, but potentially it could have far-reaching consequences for the press in the future and that needs to be covered. And it's only in the news every day because the story is developing at SUCH a pace.

Right! Good news all round (for 6 months anyway). I feel dirty tho, I like Milliband, certainly more than I EVER liked Bliar in a 10 year period.

I'm off to write 'Murdoch - The Musical'. The opening scene features Page 3 girls in a dazzling, electrifying show of the Aussie's iron grip on British politics, it ends, of course with him and his downfall - yet to play out in reality (I hope).

Sorry mate, but I disagree.

Top 3 stories today.... it's only news if you don't know about it, and we know about it.

This is the only story in the last 12 months I felt really strongly about, the whole Milly Dowler thing, sick. BUT please stop it now!
